  1. My luck I would have landed door down and not been able to get out!
  2. We usually set the thermostat around 75 F and leave it on. If the air kicks on I close the windows.
  3. I am sure dugh could come up with a kilt color combo that would compliment Angie's blue skin.
  4. umm, Bob, honey, 32* C translates to 90*F. Not what I call good sleeping weather at all unless you LIKE the hum of an a/c unit!
  5. Hi gang. Growing old may be manditory, but growing up is optional. There is also a big difference between a wise old man and a wise guy.
  6. I have days when my give a damn's busted.
  7. Think I am going to have a sign made for over my desk. "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." Perhaps a second one as well. " I cannot fix what I don't know is broken. Contrary to popular belief, I cannot read minds."
  8. I would not want to meet him on the trail! He looks like he would rather eat me than run away from the noise I make!!! Think he would consider my hiking bells a dinner bell!
  9. Is he drinking and passing waste? If slower than normal try walking. Dogs can get something similar to colic, but fortunately their systems are not one way like a horses.
  10. I get similar reactions when discussing boots for a childs first horse show. Children who are likely to grow are expected to wear reasonably inexpensive paddock boots (ankle tall boots usually with zippers for easy in and out) and garters (leather straps worn wrapped around below the knee and above the calf to help hold jodpurs in place). The children typically want tall boots like the big girls wear, and I have had the "I will buy new when she outgrows them" comment many times. The light bulb typically goes on when I point out that at their age a child can need as many as three new pairs of sneakers in one summer and decent tall boots start around $300.
  11. Morning all. Can't believe I slept till 10 o'clock!
  12. Yup! Lol the guy is not the sharpest tack in the box but he is good people. Turns funny colors when embarrassed, and has earned himself several rather less than flattering nicknames.
  13. Wings should be bringing her friend by the shop tomorrow for a kilting. Tease the hell outta him dugh! He is fun to pick on!
  14. Spent many an hour in Leeds Point, but never saw the little bugger myself. I was just thinking I could carry that in the bed of my F350 as a spare! lol So what do you do with the other half a person??? Put it in the boot? Or just give it the boot?
  15. We call em the Jersey Air Force. As for more than usual @Headstall I live on a spit of land between three swamps. More is a relative term.
  16. My daughter tells me she wants to have a tee shirt for me and a magnet for my red truck made. A rearing horse wearing a turn out helmet with the initials BRFD across. That would be Bella Rosa ( the name of our barn) Fire Department.
  17. Hopefully Saturday = day off = stay out of the humidity for you Parker.
  18. I think rain would be an improvement right now. We are 85* and 85% humidity.
  19. 8 am, 68*, 100% humidity. Is not raining, but you still get soaked just standing still. Gross!
  20. Not even 11:30? If I make it to the weather report on the 10 o'clock news I consider it a late night!
  21. Congrats gramps! How is momma doing with the BP issue that sped the arrival?
  22. Your grandpappy and mine were brothers???
  23. Good morning. Similar weather to dugh's here. Finally broke down and turned the ac on. It isnt really that warm, but this 98% humidity has to go!
  24. I dont want any pet that could swallow me whole!
  25. Pythons are not native to Florida. Escapees from a breeding facility that was taken out by Hurricane Andrew have taken over the glades. Big bounties on them now.
