I wouldn't be at all surprised if Nathan's attacker and Robbie's attacker on the stairs are one and the same. Although there has been quite a bit of a time lag between the two attacks. Perhaps the opportunity wasn't there until now. And I'm not thinking Alex.

I think the plot is familiar because if you search the author's stories there was Planet Redemption in 2017. Eight chapers but unfinnished. He didn't seem to like it so is redoing it. I think there is some promise.

I recognize that he did something very wrong, but I find I get very depressed with the story of Alex. There were many bad people and events in his life, most of them outside his ability to control, which worked to shape his personality. I hope the story doesn't just leave him discarded at the side of the road. For a glimpse of the hidden Alex you just have to look at his love for his younger brother. -
For me the overriding theme of this story is the value of supportive friends. The story begins with Simon very stressed but without any means to see a positive outcome. He took a big risk, against his normal inclinations, to take a chance on allowing strangers to connect with him. So far it has helped him immensely. In these trying times of social distancing it would be a good thing to be aware of how our friends (and aquaintences) are coping. Even an inquiry of "how are you doing?" May mean more than we realise. And as a PS, maybe a choice by Simon to live somewhere else might be the wakeup call his mother needs.

My guess is Desmond. Because of his high degree of unpredictability. Although it will highly piss off Rayhe for awhile. I get a kick out of how they all smoke cigarettes like fiends in these stories. Yes I know they are very, very bad for you. It's a somewhat vicarious thing given that I would be dead and gone if I touched them again. But some of us remember eons ago when even the newscasters on TV smoked while giving us the latest goings on every night on CBS...… 😬😀

Thanks. Doesn't help Raven, then. I am assuming Claudia is not going to be inclined to alter time to help him get Julian back. So I thought an imbalance might have given him a small wedge. I was thinking one of those 'Quid Pro Quo' things you know..... 😀

I've been intrigued by the Reagan and Claudia characters and the dynamic of the Guardians so hopefully we learn a bit more in this story. Isn't there currently an imbalance between the two opposing sides? I will have to go and see if I can find the place in a previous story where it was fleshed out a bit.

Nevertheless, Sears no longer exists in Canada having shut down for good January 26, 2018 after being bled dry of cash, assets and a large chunk of employee's pensions by the current owner of Sears US. Which places the timeline a year back or the chapter has been written for a bit. -

Well this should be interesting. My reading between the lines is that Ezra is going to try to push Artie into leaving San Francisco for "just a little Baseball Camp time in Texas". Thereby isolating him from his current support and "getting him back on a sound religious footing". My thoughts, anyway.

Sam is apparently used to fighting for himself, and I doubt it involved rules like "clean" and "fair play". Perhaps the boxing team will be surprised.

I have to chuckle at the tags for this story: Future, Gay, Teen. I mean talk about understatement....... With all that is going on in just the first five chapters... 😁😁

When it comes to getting all powerful new abilities, even accidently, I think Desmond was a good person for it to happen to. Mainly because I don't think he cares too much about power. He seem fairly content with his Mate, and his job, and his 'chosen' child Sam, his motorcycle and his cigarettes. Not saying he wouldn't flex his muscle from time to time, though. 🙂

Seriously though, with this "cliff hanging" author I expect we are in for a chapter or two with Gabriel before things progress. Since magic and abilities don't work "inside" then someone is going to have to distract Maga for a bit. I think Henry is going to be back on scene and assist with extraction. But I find stories seldom match up with my logical thinking. 😁😁

This ability is getting very complicated to follow. According to Tess it is best to do nothing but observe. That's a bit boring for an ability. I expect things will evolve to where Des can block himself from randomly entering dreams and only enter when he wants to. Then at least a Dream Manipulator would have a purpose (for good or bad) for entering someone's dream in the first place. I have the recollection Raven is not in a natural sleep dream state. He was placed there (possibly by Magda) for a purpose. Possibly to get him into the labyrinth? Anyone remember what chapter so I can go back and look? I'm losing track of the "why" of the painting and the labyrinth.

That's true. I would have had the picture in the fireplace the instant I was told people could get sucked in and lost in it. That's just me I suppose. You just can't trust magic nor turn your back on it, it seems. Is the picture how they eventually get out?

Am I the only one finding it difficult to care about either Julian or Raven as characters every time this "Friday Thing" comes up? Particularly when the last time some small details were given out the "subject" was 12 years old? I'm not sure the other participant(s) even survive the event.
