Chapter 7 Back in my own Bed
ColumbusGuy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 7 Back in my own Bed
Great chapter, Dodger! I'm glad Tom and Robbie got to be intimate before he leaves for Canada. I can understand his confusion about mixed signals...I've had those in my time...with my vision problems, I missed clues like eye contact and their other signals...I was always grateful when people were a little more direct. I'm a big romantic at heart, but I don't believe in games...tell the person how you feel as well as show it. Mental games are cruel and show a lack of respect for the other person's feleings in my opinion. Okay, bring on the school...I can just see the girls all over him, and he won't turn them down because he's afraid of the family's reactions...so how many girlfriends will he have? More please! -
Well, SD, at least now we know why Ian is so afraid of having Miles leave him. Over time, I hope we'll see him accepting that his fortunes have changed, and that he'll see the qualities which Miles loves him for. We all know that it takes love to build a relationship, but is that enough? I think Ian needs more convincing. More please! Plenty of beginners follies to go around which will bring our two closer together.

Another great one, Elias...Zarek has begun to share the conclusions I made a while ago...Andy is growing into true adulthood, while Matt has yet to achieve that status. In truth, I don't see Matt doing that any time soon because he won't face himself...he wants to be what others see him as, even if it's a lie. Andy is beginning to find happiness because he's facing his demons, while Matt is destined to remain discontented and self-centered. I'm not sure Andy will have that foursome...if it comes right down to the wire, I think he won't. That is my hope, at any rate. Colt is just bad news all around, and I'd steer clear of him...let Ashton and Scott have him. More please.

Chapter 9 How Was Your Farm Holiday?
ColumbusGuy commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in Chapter 9 How Was Your Farm Holiday?
I also have to wonder why Peter didn't ask the guys how they could live together without much worry...maybe it has something to do with the money they have? I imagine I'll be skimming through the chapter when Louise and Peter have at it...no desire to read their encounter since they already had the biology lesson. More please! -
Chapter 8 Good Morning Cows
ColumbusGuy commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in Chapter 8 Good Morning Cows
A really sweet chapter, and I wonder if the cows' milk was better that morning? It would be great if Paul got a chance to come visit. I really hope that Tom will try receiving...it is only fair since Peter has tried everything. If Tom doesn't at least try once, then I'm counting that as a flaw in his character, selfishness. To refuse to do something which would please Peter just because he is unwilling is the height of selfishness--I could understand it if he still felt that way after a couple times, but not otherwise...it would be just macho bullshit, which would be a serious fault in Tom. More please! -
Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
A surprising chapter, SD. Well, this whole thing is now f--d up beyond words...the only people with any clue and good advice just got blown off by the weakest brains in the gang. God save me from a friend like Gary or Nels! I expect David will explode again very soon, and I hope Twoey didn't mess things up with Danny...though he did wimp out in the crunch. Seemed a little short...maybe that's my imagination wanting more...so get to it, my friend! -
Chapter 7 Country Air Is Good for the Soul
ColumbusGuy commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in Chapter 7 Country Air Is Good for the Soul
I'm glad the boys are having fun on the farm, and their introduction to real intercourse might have been much more traumatic without the gentle tutelage of Sean, Frank and Jacob. I thought it was going to get really weird when Sean was tied up, but I'm glad it didn't go any further...that would have been too much for our boys, I think. I was pleased at the advice Jacob gave his son, and I was on the verge of laughing as he tried to reassure Paul about it being okay...I could just picture the poor kid's face, having this type of talk with his father. On to the next one! -
Ha--do not piss Jarra off! It's so touching that Jarra is going all out to fulfill his promise to Akama--promise him the Moon, but give him an entire Solar System. If only Barega could have been around to see it. I'd love it if Akama's ship or the first station could be named for Barega. A wonderful chapter, my friend...keep 'em coming.
-
I think your touch with these chapters is great--yo pack a lot into a short piece of writing. And, I really like Miles and Ian--they are in for an 'interesting' relationship, which means they will never be bored. I look forward to more of their story, and especially how they met! More please!

Uncle Bob and Jacob sounded really great together...now I know why Sean has the farm, I feel sorry for his uncle. I wonder who the visitor is? Jacob or Frank? More please TG.

Chapter 5 Hands on Biology Class
ColumbusGuy commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in Chapter 5 Hands on Biology Class
Sorry to be lagging behind...I intended to review as soon as I could, but I got sidetracked by writing my own chapters, and doing some editing for friends here. First off, the biology lesson wasn't as bad as I was imagining. The boys handled it with respect and dignity. The four are lucky to have found an opposite couple to befriend, and I think the bonds are developing nicely. Father McFadden should be the model for all religious figures, more concerned with the welfare of his flock than the doctrines of any one religious organization. He is open-minded and educated, not just in the hide-bound teachings of the Church, but in how that needs to change to be of better use to the real world. With the suspicions of the parents about their children's differing faiths, you show us how men have twisted what should have been a unifying message of universal love into something divisive and evil. Eager for the farm visit! -
Week Two Sunday September 14, 2014: Confrontations
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Two Sunday September 14, 2014: Confrontations
More things to think about Sneaky. The thing I keep coming back to, and the guys don't seem to understand, is that abuse doesn't just stop...it goes on until action is taken. They don't see it because Danny has gotten better at hiding it. I hope Twoey doesn't give up on this...Danny needs a real friend. I loved the scene between David and the Pastor...those people need to be kept from breeding! David is immune, but I think Tommy is beginning to question and be influeneced by the bigotry. Their father is just clueless, I guess she cut off his balls years ago. I'm about fed up with David's whining...go ahead and marry Kathy since you seem to have inherited your father's lack of willpower. All it takes is four words: 'I'm not your boyfriend.' Done. And stop calling her every damn day if you don't want to give her that impression! Jeez! Donny? I can't wait to see how he fits in with Twoey! More please! -
Chapter 6 Fun in the Snow
ColumbusGuy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 6 Fun in the Snow
A great chapter Dodger, but I'm afraid that Tom and Robbie won't be able to maintain their relationship until they're eighteen. I hope they can pick it up when they meet in person again...but it was bright and intense, and probably not long enough to sustain itself ovre time. I have this feeling that Robbie is going to pretend to date a girl to maintain his cover, and I don't like that...it's a betrayal of himself on a very deep level, which I wouldn't have thought he'd do. I'd like to see him be honest with Don and Sue, if not Daniel and Nicola. In any event, all he has to do is say it's too soon for a relationship...but I can see the ravens circling. Sigh. More please. -
Okay, I think I've found my new name for you--SneakyDragon. Of course my own imagination ran away also--god, was their relationship really over? Could it be saved? What had gone so wrong that it could be over? I was ready to jump on Miles if he'd done something so terrible to his partner.... Jeez, I laughed and sighed with the last paragraph...to someone in a new and fragile relationsip, it doesn't take much to make you think the worst. I'm eager for more, I just hope I'm not wringing my hands through every single one.

A wonderful end to this story, Billy! I can picture the location pretty well since my mom's family came from Letcher County, and we would visit her relatives when I was little...this was mostly in the mid-late 60s when I was around 6 or 7, but I remember the steep forested hills, the narrow country roads, and the houses perched on hillsides. It was my first encoutner with an outhouse at my great-aunts...and my half-sisters' grandma, who lived in a log cabin wore 19th century long skirts and bonnet, and carried her water from a stream until she died in her mid-90s. I'm looking forward to Field of Love taking off again--I was rivetted to it from the start! Keep on truckin, man.

Thanks my friend--you always highlight something that I didn't really think hard about when I was writing it, and show me that even those parts can strike a chord with the reader. Guess I'm gonna have to find images to fit Cal's work from now on...or perhaps it's best left to the imagination. Maybe the barn is going to get a work-out this Summer? The 'hose' was my second fave, after the 'stall' moment. Glad you liked it!

Two little statements, G-Man...not much else to addk: WOW!! and: Michael is gonna go ape-shit when K fucks him! Sigh....

A Serious Decision Concerning "18 Weeks"
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's blog entry in skinnydragon's lunch
Man Dragon, I have been searching for everything you've posted to 'Like' so you can get out of Mod Review quicker--200 is the magic number, so the more posts you make in blogs, discussions, or chapters, the faster you achieve freedom. I must be different from most writers, I think. I don't outline except in the most general way...and when the words hit the screen, I fiddle with them, then it's off to my beta...after those fixes, the only thing I alter is missed typographical errors. My work is done. I talk some points over with my beta, to keep from being wildly dramatic, otherwise my story is an 'improved' version of my own past...Mikey is me, except he found a partner. I'd never written a sex chapter before this story, and I've tried not to make it frivolous...each time, I use it to emphasize some aspect of my characters' developing bonds...you make me wonder if I'm a smut-monger now, which has worried me since the beginning. I hope you don't find my story offensive. -
If you want it to sound really grand, try the Vocative case, O Dragon!

Week Two Saturday September 13, 2014: Danny's Room
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Two Saturday September 13, 2014: Danny's Room
Great one again, SD. I see David has screwed up yet again...lost his balls to social convenience. Serves him right if he winds up with Kathy, he deserves what he gets. I feel sorry for Twoey again--he's falling for Danny, but the boy can't be found out, though he could wind up better off--and yet, there's the spectre of the big black car: now that we know Danny has had lots of experience out-of-town, I'm wondering if the 'boys' are actually older men...lots of unsavory possibilities under the surface, which I hope aren't true. Though provoking and worrisome...but bring on the next one! -
A nice chapter, Elias! You surprised me...Matt seems to have a little bit of integrity and ability to think about things with more than his dick. I'm very glad he objected to Megan's assumption that she now owned him because they'd had sex...that's where the surprise was, that he wouldn't commit to her because he couldn't do it with Andy. Maybe there's hope for him after all. I'm still cheering for Andy to win him in the end! More please!

Chapter 5 Grieving and Believing
ColumbusGuy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 5 Grieving and Believing
I loved the chapter Dodger, but I'm beginning to dislike Tommy's mother for not letting them sleep in. It almost made me cry when Tommy said that when Robbie came back, they'd live together. I hope that will happen for them, especially with this new aspect of their relationship. More please! -
Tak, Tim--that's awfully nice of you to say about my writing. Is your speculation based on B's confidence issue? Or by the fact that Cal is the one in charge at the moment? You could be right...we'll see. Now I gotta find pics that Cal took? J/M want all their friends to 'share the love'...so if they can help out, they will...they already know the loft's benefits, so is it worth the inconveniences? You've just given me an idea for a scene for 34...tusind tak! Farm boys can get very dirty even if they're being good.

You're one sharp cookie SD. Frustratingly clever and innocently annoying with the way you left it. Well done--now don't do it again!

Week Two Friday September 12, 2014: Discovering Danny
ColumbusGuy commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Two Friday September 12, 2014: Discovering Danny
Another great one, SD! David continues to be clueless, and it's going to get him in trouble...but I don't think it will be Saturday's date because he's afraid to say what he really feels. Twoey and Danny? I'd like to see them become great friends, and if they get physical, then I hope Danny finds comfort in it...he needs someone who cares abot him, and I think Twoey can do that. I really hope the 'premonition' is just a mental trick and not an actual event. It went by too quickly, SD...make them a little longer! Eager for the next one, my friend!
