It's not confusing. We have a woman with headaches and a couple of cats who talk, well, sort of. What could be more straight forward!!! The cat is rotund, but happily so. I'm not sure anyone needs to teach overeating. I learned by practicing all on my own!! LOL!!!! Thanks for reading!

The Date Hunter slammed the door behind him as he entered the room, “I’ve got a date bitches!” The orange cat, resting calmly on a pair of socks, quickly jumped up and darted from the room. Antonio watched as his mate’s belly swayed with each hasty step. “Can you believe it?” Hunter said excitedly, bending over and petting the slim black cat rigorously. Obviously with too much relish because the black cat also scampered off to the kitchen. Snuggles was in the corner carefully w

Chapter 2 – Snuggles Prompt #726 – First Line ‘The sound of heavy boots and crashing furniture woke you from an uneasy sleep’. Hunter’s full-body thrust against the stuck door causing it to fly open and bang loudly. The bag of groceries cradled in his left arm tilted, spilling the eggs and the loaf of French bread onto the floor. The egg carton popped open and four of the dozen went flying, smashed, and splattering all over the book case and onto some of his favorite novels’ spines.

Thanks Al! I hope you enjoy! It's more of a fun story than anything else.

Yeah! A new family member for Clay to get to know.
  15. Cole Matthews
They will. I think Clay is feeling part of the family now. It took some time and emotion, but that's what brings people together. Love and affection that are tested by trial. Thanks for the support. I appreciate your following the story!!!

I've gotten the outline started for the next story. It's called The Martyrs and it will be set in Florida. Thanks for asking!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks a lot for the support and following the story. It was a labor of love.
  18. Cole Matthews
Yes, it's a sad story. For the title, I felt it needed to be more of a tragedy than even a mystery. There were people hurt and dead because of jealousy and greed. Thanks so much for following along and supporting it.

I'm so glad you came along for the ride. I've read Rick Beck and he's a very good writer. I hope I brought it all together. The facts and ideas were strung along the whole time. Some things were red herrings, and yet I wanted to present an ordinary conclusion. Greed and envy are primary drivers in murders. People kill because someone else has what they want. That's the unfortunate pattern I've seen in news stories. Thanks so much for all your comments and support. It was greatly appreciated.

Chapter 1 – Ruby Haley could feel one of her headaches coming on, but she wasn’t going to give into it. She rubbed her temples vigorously, attempting to massage the ache away. It seemed to work, at least, for the moment. She brushed her long, brown hair, luxurious and silky to the touch, and tied it back. Smacking her lips and breathing deeply, she readied herself for the day. Pulling on a dusty smock, the young woman then sat to pull on her Doc Marten boots, scruffy at the toe

This is a prompt story dedicated to Valkyrie and Parker Owens for their help with So Weeps the Willow. It should be fun!
  22. Cole Matthews
Not a cliffhanger or a red herring. The logical next progression until the end of the story. You are such fun!!!

That's true, because people code in the hospital all the time. However, as an author, I do like to include what most drives the story. Yeah, killed over jealousy of success. Nats is a sad and pathetic person and two people died because of her. At least, two so far. The tears are of fear. Thanks for the comments and for supporting the story.
  24. Cole Matthews
That's a good point. Why would Clay be crying? The next chapter is posted and thanks for the lovely words and support.

Perhaps you're right. We'll see because Ben isn't out of the woods yet. You're absolutely right about poor Twyla. She will have to deal with the aftermath of her brother's death knowing a friend killed him. She will also have to deal with a mess of a mother. It's a sad story, which befits the title. Thanks for your comments.
