  1. Thank you so much Spikey!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the story and shared it. I'm honored.
  2. I think I like Facing Morning the best. It’s raw and bitter like an arugula salad. Leaves you feeling refreshed after consuming. I identify with Dirty Laundry because it’s my usual state of being, but it’s also a great analogy because you can wash those clothes each time and become refreshed. The other side of worry is relief and atonement. Very powerful stuff. Great job!
  3. This is great!!! I loved the mention of so many wonderful stories. I'm humbled to be part of such a talented group.
  4. Thanks Addy! I'm glad it made you hold your breath. I wanted to write something that made your pulse race. Awesome!!
  5. I'm glad the nightmare aspect is apparent. I wrote it to ponder memory and the fleeting nature of it over time which is scary. Thanks Addy!!
  6. We need mentors and we need to be mentors. It's hard putting yourself out there. It's equally as hard to watch as a new group begins the process. It's also so important because teaching is one of the best ways to learn more deeply about your work. It really fascinates me. Thanks for the wonderful comments.
  7. Thanks Parker, I'm glad you like Bill and Adam. They are people I know too. It's fun to watch the succession play out. Thanks also for joining us!
  8. We never had anything as fancy as dirt to play on. Hahahaha!!!! In the country, you have grass. In my hometown on the prairie, you have lots and lots of grass.
  9. Thank you so much Al! It was quite the treat to see your comment. I'm glad the little bio did it's trick, giving Calvin a bit of a background. It has happened to me as well, and I could remember it well. Thanks so much for your support.
  10. Yes, it is. Thanks so much. Sometimes an embarrassing moment may end up becoming something even better. Lemons and lemon meringue pie, you know!
  11. That is good!
  12. Not that I know of? Yoga Jones isn't teaching this class. I felt like I was about to split my pants the couple of times I went to yoga and I heard a couple of slip ups. Yes, he was wearing compression shorts, but he's a very shy guy. Well, maybe not always shy when it comes to a cute Mahmoud. Thanks so much!
  13. Thanks Gary! I had to finish with a story that had an ending. It was very fun and I loved having a sweet note as we said our goodbyes. I appreciate all your support and comments this past week!
  14. It was fun and I couldn't resist a good old body humor story to end the week. It was great fun and I'm thrilled to have my mojo back!
  15. OMG! This could be The Village People Meets Youngblood and becomes Heroes! Rob Lowe's naked butt, Zachary Quinto and gay leathermen and cops! That's fabulous!
  16. I agree! It will continue on for the next anthology. I love it as well. You don't need to do any work. I'll happily finish it! Thanks Gary!
  17. It is fun to build the beginnings and not have to do the work to finish. But, this will be concluded. I have a middle and end in mind. Thanks for the great comments and I really appreciate your support!
  18. You'll get more details and a full story. This is the germinating seed of a larger story for the anthology. Thanks for the help and your kind words!
  19. Thanks Dugh! This story will be the seed to my next anthology story. I think it presents some interesting ideas and I love the main character and the dad seems to be a bit of a surprise as well! I appreciate your support
  20. Thanks Valkyrie! I do like the setup and characters in this story. I wasn't sure at first where it would go, but the rather formed set up really laid out an outline. That's one thing I like about different kinds of prompts. They are good for different exercises.
  21. I can't imagine who may have inspired this prompt. I really think you're quite the joker Valkyrie and you have the heart of a knight!
  22. Prompt 7 – Guilty Calvin pulled his mail out of the box and abstractedly sifted through it. There were the usual bills, gas, credit card, and a Neiman Marcus catalog. There were also a couple of advertisement packages; a penny saver and a Ruth McNally Buck Buster. The last piece of mail grabbed his interest. It was for a new yoga studio down the street. He’d been thinking about joining a gym of some kind, but it was always a bit too daunting. Calvin was never the athletic sort. He
  23. I agree. Parker's is very complete and different from ours. Having you participate in this was a thrill. We have had a great time and your take is always so interesting and well-rounded. I tend to exercise specific mental-muscle groups, while you create a more complete picture. Great job and thanks again for playing!
  24. Thanks so much because that's exactly what I wanted to convey. I appreciate your support and generous comments.
  25. Yeah, Rutledge may or may not be exiting. However, what was Bill to him at one time? I'm fascinated by the idea of succession in the workplace and in civic work. There is a progression to this process. What is our role and where does it fall? Thanks for the encouragement and the delightful comment!
