It's a very well composed and moving version of the Christmas story. I think the wonder of the moment was portrayed beautifully. Awesome Job!!!

This story is so fresh and unaffected. It really feels like we are watching it happen live on TV. Oh, and I've got to try this recipe though scallops scare me a bit. I'm afraid I'll over cook them.

That's awesome! I'm doing the same thing with my grandmother's recipes. My paternal grandmother gave me her handwritten recipes and I'm scanning them in and collecting the images and family memories to share in a booklet. It's good to see my idea is something others have enjoyed. Thanks!!!

Love is making the sacrifices and special effort. This is a very good story about doing just that. Both had to make hard changes but in the end it was worth it. What a lovely story.

I love this story shows how the spirit of Christmas, in the form of a tree, is generous and at its heart never runs out. What a special message this story has.

YES!!! Russell Tovey is worth the whole story! But, I'm glad you liked the reaction and the interaction as well. I like recalling similar conversations that aren't always terribly PC, but with cohorts, it's okay to objectify men. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Maybe. Lots of people I ride on the bus with work at Target. They get off at a couple of stops before me on Marquette Ave which is next to Nicollet. They all have badges, so perhaps my character does work there.

It's always a thrill when something you've devised works. In this case, the definition of Bus Crazy has served me well. I often ponder socialization dynamics and this is yet another one I've wondered about. Thanks so much for the kind words!

Thanks so much. As I've said in another comment, I was a bartender and I had many moments of being the sounding board for a customer. As a bartender, it's pretty much expected. As a bus rider, it's simply part of the experience. I've gotten some interesting stories out of bus characters in the past and probably will in the future as well. Hope you try the recipe. It is good.

It means you have a normal level of annoyance. I did make her pretty over-the-top, but then I was a bartender and was subjected to plenty of 'trapped' moments. Come to think of it, she wasn't as bad as some of my former regulars. Hahaha!!! Thanks Addy!

I'm sure being related to a famous person can get annoying, especially if you look like them. Now I'm trying to picture you doing a George Takei impression dressed in drag as Margaret Cho and holding Mao's little red book while doing a Jackie Chan kick. It's cracking me up! You should try them! They are quite simple, just make sure you pull them out when they are beginning to brown. The tray will continue cooking them. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I enjoyed watching every Russell Tovey movie and show I could get my hands on, especially The Pass!!!

So very true. "Bus crazy" isn't limited to a certain set of people. All of us are vulnerable to it's vagaries when caught up in events!!!
