Wonderful chapter! As others have noted, George's mentorship skills are prodigious. He also showed foresight in gathering written witness accounts for what will likely be a court martial, although it would mean having to keep Pitcairn on his ship a lot longer than he'd like. I wouldn't be surprised if he came up with a more creative solution. Lots to look forward to: baths, learning about Anson's problem, and a mysterious inheritance that will likely solve the problem of the Catholic tenants. I also have to mention how much I love Daventry as a character. I think he's the only person George gets to have a truly uncomplicated relationship with.
