You should really read The Squad+ stories before continuing with the sailboat. And FYI, unlike recent stories that have been entirely from CJ's POV, this one will vary. We'll see the action through the eyes of different characters.
That T-shirt is one I own and enjoy wearing after all these years. And I have to hope one day politicians will return to civility if not full agreement.
I've written three CJ stories set in the future--in 2027, 2041, and 2048--and the events in this story will influence them. Pam may end up marginalized if she doesn't get her shit together.
Unless I kill Pam off, she'll be back. And her grief can't account for her behavior entirely. She's one of those meddling mother-in-laws we all hear about. Not sure CJ can take much more of her.
What, no comments on the food? LOL
Rubio made a few appearances in earlier stories and I thought I was done with him. Then he pissed me off again. For all we know, he and CJ will wind up working together at some point. CJ's realistic about how politics works and Rubio's just a whore looking for votes. BTW, Rubio will return when CJ goes before the Senate for confirmation.
Liebe's a good tool to use when I want a distraction or a break from heavier stuff. A typical 2-year-old, her favorite animal is a tiger one minute and flamingos the other. Let's not forget she wants butterflies in her bedroom.
“Good morning.” CJ climbed into the dark-green Hyundai Santa Fe and threw his bag in the back seat. “Nice car.”
“Thanks. It’s a government vehicle, but we have it for the next few days.” Camilo had found the young American waiting for him outside the hotel.
“We need to bump into one of those old Chevys at some point. I’d love to try driving one, but what I really want’s a few pictures of Owen and me with it.”
“Let me see what I can do. Maybe I can borrow one. I’ll make a couple of
I'm glad my food choices meet your approval.
CJ's adventurous with his food too and willing to try all sorts of dishes. The combination of clams and chouricou's hard to beat.
Thanks, Albert. I figured a bunch of twenty-somethings with more money than common sense would have a little fun once alcohol was introduced into the equation.
Fanning seems to fall in the category of "add alcohol and instant asshole." I don't care how powerful he may be; if he keeps going against CJ, he's going to lose.
Thanks, Albert. Since Paul only had that one scene in the series up to this point, I thought it appropriate to reintroduce him. I'm still surprised I created him and several other characters so long ago, planning to use them in the future.
Food's always been featured in my stories, but I may have gone a bit overboard recently. I describe anything and everything from home-cooked meals to those at restaurants or prepared by a private chef. Thanks good ness CJ and Owen exercise regularly!
Glad you've enjoyed the series so far. After our summer break, we'll be back in high school of a couple of years and CJ will try to keep himself out of trouble. LOL
Dragon may be crass and a troublemaker, but he has a good head on his shoulders. Probably why CJ's fathers trust him so much.
It took me a while to get that group of guys together at the same school, but we're almost there.
