Between Senior and the closet, Rick's been suffocating. He took care of himself physically but the mental turmoil must have been murder. Funny how caring for someone else led him out from under both. So, my Earth Day born niece graduates from law school and her younger sisters gets her bachelor degree a week earlier. One of the jobs that one's applied for and is interviewing with is a start up talent agency in Atlanta. The woman running it has represented rappers and musicians for a while. Maybe my niece can line up an agent for me.

Liebe, Elizabeth Liston Abello, was born April 22, 2020. Some of the CJ series' cast, got the same birthdays as my relative's. CJ shares with one of my brother and his twins will be born on my other brother's b'day. And as you can see in the dedication, My niece, Alex, was born on Earth Day. She turns 25 today and graduates from law school in a couple of weeks.

By the end of today, she'll be covered in chocolate cake.

@BlueWindBoy LMAO - My editor complained he paid more for his wine boxes. At one point I hoped to write something together involving the Hills and my guys, but Marcus dropped the third book in the series. I think he didn't like some of the suggestions his editor made. I wonder if they throw any sort of party at Copley Hall these days.

@BlueWindBoy Let's see how much clarity I can provide without blinding you with spoilers. A couple of your comments refer to things partially planted to justify future events. I prefer not to pull rabbits out of hats too often. Yeah, those guys (particularly CJ, may not always express themselves in a totally correct way, but any sort of discrimination or abuse will irk them. I mean, CJ wrote a damn book about bullying! And that leads me to CJ already being a published author, so Owen could be suggesting non-fiction need not be CJ's only writing. In reality, I was poking fun at myself and other amateur writers. Dude, they'll have a 1,000 bottle wine cellar (my largest ever I built under a staircase and held like 60 bottles) and they've been buying for a couple of years. Who knows what little treasures they have and maybe without entirely realizing it. My biggest problem with war is how we try to regulate what happens. Wars should be bloody and messy. Why fight at all if you're going to try and minimize deaths or economic loses? You'd be better off locking negotiators in a room and not allowing them out until they had a peace plan. Maybe not the nukes, but Brad's attitude in this case reflects mine. If a war's worth fighting, go kill all the mofos on the enemy's side. Depending on how much I write between college graduation and inauguration, we'll see Owen and CJ age and hopefully mature. I've tinkered with CJ's approach to life, mellowing out certain views, and will continue to do so.

Good guess. Olga moving in was inspired by my maternal grandmother living with us while I grew up, and ny my youngest brother's fixation with multi-generational households. Our parents, even when they had to move to a retirement home, refused to move to first New Jersey then Chicago. Weather and language. He finally got his wish when his mother-in-law moved in last year after her divorce. I think I wrote the shark encounter during Shark Week on Discovery. No idea who you're talking about. Liebe's birthday's on 04/22. Maybe you're thinking Cesar since he's also a Taurus but his is on May 5. Or Owen? his is on May 7. I recently realized Cesar will turn 50 in 2027. The same year, Owen turns 35 and The Squad's OGs turn 30. Sounds like a party year to me.

Ritch would be 38 in 2040 when the AF transfers him to the Pentagon. I'm hoping it'll be something temporary though. At that age, he'll still be a kid. As for Maverick and Iceman, I'm looking forward to seeing their new movie. Iceman's gotten a bit chunky in the intervening years.

LOL Maybe in 2041 Ritch should appeal to the Commander in Chief so he can keep flying. I'll fill in the blanks about JT in the next chapter.

Hey, Jeff Read my reply to WolfM's comment. He deserves a lot of credit for me getting some of the military details right. Although I count veterans as friends (and former lovers) I never served either. Most of what I wrote was based on research and Wolf sanding the rough edges.

Baker has to go through initiation and Joel wants to be in charge. Actually, by the end of the book, I'm still unsure how Baker will fit into The Wing. I know some of the Cadets we've met so far will be around for the Abello administration, but I have a feeling I'll be involving them in the ongoing saga sooner than then.

I think Ritch's interest in flying's the deciding factor. Three more years in school might interfere. And we do know he's still in the Air Force at the beginning of 2041.

I so wanted to have Ritch ride a bull but never seemed to find the right spot. I've done it a couple of times (mechanical of course) but it's been at bars after a couple of cocktails. Ritch's been too young until now to get in a bar. I don't think anyone would let him ride a real one unless it was a geriatric one.
