    @Will Hawkins Social media is a double edged sword. A white woman, who called 911 and falsely accused a black man of assaulting her, was fired from her job. All because of the man recording their interaction and sharing it online. Obviously, there are countless individuals who've been identified and arrested for their involvement in the coup attempt, all because of social media posts they or others made. While working on Cadet, I tried to follow a bunch of Air Force Academy ones, to gain a better understanding of what their lives are like. The large majority of them were private profiles. That's probably the smart way to go as long as you only accept people you know as followers.

    Thank you! It was an interesting and educational experiment. One result is I'm more comfortable writing tighter scenes. I think subsequent stories benefited.

Instead, he straightened his back and squared his shoulders. Ed did say to play along, so he was simply following orders.     @BlueWindBoy LMAO Jed Bartlet was in the back of my mind when I started plotting CJ's political involvement. There'll be a bit of that coming pretty soon. Gun ownership will be a recurring plot item. And about me being Tripp? Never thought of it that way, but it has potential. Maybe I should have given him curly dark hair and green eyes.

    No more Netflix for Fergus. He's been watching that show about British royalty, hasn't he? I mean, anyone naming their kids Regis, Royal, Baron, or Duke has some serious issues. Alpha voice or not, the wannabe dictator's nearing the end. Please make his demise as humiliating as possible. You can kill him off after.

    Did I already mention this was partially inspired by a good high school friend. He was Danny while we were growing up. As soon as he became and orthopedic surgeon, it was Dr. Dan. It was also a convenient way to show young Mr. Peterson reaching for adulthood.

    We don't always see eye-to-eye, but we do get along well. Bits and pieces of their personalities permeate many of my stories.

    @Dr. John NYC Thank you. The differences and similarities between Ritch and CJ are inspired by my brothers. The three of us are alike in many ways, but you can tell we're individuals. Some of it most likely influenced by my sexual orientation.

    Thank you, Jay. One of the fun parts of writing stories about different supporting cast members is the ability to recycle characters seamlessly. I'll do it a few more times before we're done with Ritch.

    When I told Mann to keep something in mind in case I croaked and he had to finish the series, he warned me he would start killing off characters right away. I'm taking my meds religiously so my heart doesn't give out anytime soon.
