  1. LOL I'm trying, I'm trying. My goal for 2020 was to publish at least as many stories and words as last year. The number of stories has already been surpassed, but the word count's short. I need to write faster so I better find the motivation.
  2. Hmmmm, not sure I want to tackle that one LOL Or the aftermath when their will gets read!
  3. Thanks, Terry. The men have played an integral part in the CJverse, and I felt we needed al ittle more of them. The story also allowed me to introduce characters and events that may play a part in future tales. Now all I need to do is write!
  4. Zion's making money now, they can afford it. I'm still not sure if those two stay together long-term. We'll have to wait and see.
  5. Thanks, Tor. I really appreciate your loyalty!
  6. Thanks, Scott! By now you should know I like to leave readers wanting more instead of going on for so long they get bored with the story. Glad it worked!
  7. Guess I'm not allowed to have them die in a plane crash on their way back to Washington, eh?
  8. Somebody might have a sign up sheet LOL One thing I love about writing is the ability to let my imagination get carried away with living spaces. I've tried to make them all a little different but in the end they're simply settings for characters and events.
  9. Interestingly, there was a report on different types of masks on this morning's news. A bandana allows droplets to travel up to 3 feet while a mask keeps them closer to the person. Ity's all degrees of efficiency. Now that my guys are bi (coastal) I'm sure they'll be spending time in California regularly.
  10. Soft conclusion? More in other tales? Glad to see you've figured out my modus operandi. And you're right, kemo sabe. The house already appeared in Ranger, and I plan a few more visits out there. Spring break for Ritch and Christmas for the entire family are already outlined.
  11. Thanks, Butcher. I had a lot of fun imagining what the pool house would look like. I'm sure I'll describe how some of the other rooms look in a future story.
  12. One side note on all that artwork. I recently googled the price for a Warhol Mao (he created 199 of them inspired by Nixon's 1972 trip to China) and the value blew my mind. The giant ones can fetch over a hundred million dollars each! The smaller one CJ and Owen got as a present is worth less than half that, but it still more than doubled their net worth. Must be nice. Thanks for the continued support, Chris.

    President's Day

“Shit! Forgot my sunglasses.” Brett dropped his backpack at Ritch’s feet and jogged back to the house. “You guys should have sneaked in a little snow time this morning and left later in the day. We could have caught a taxi to the airport.” César handed Will the last of the luggage. “It’s not a problem, sir. We need to get back and get squared away for classes tomorrow.” Will threw the duffle bag in the rental’s back and slammed the door closed. Following breakfast, as the fathers readi

  15. I've used that one in stories! At least once I've mentioned a large meal's detritus. Love the word.

Zion better hurry up furnishing the house, the guest list keeps growing. If anyone wants an innie instead of an outie, more power to them. Personally, I'm quite happy with my original equipment.

The dads are high on my list of favorites. You're right, as CJ has aged, most of the older cast has been sidelined. However, their influence can be felt in how CJ has developed and they will continue to play a role in the future. I just mentioned my sprawling cast in a previous comment, it's an embarrassment of riches as proved by the three spinoffs I've posted already, but it also limits how much time I can give each one. I have something coming up soon that will have a cameo from another of the older guys. If I live long enough, I'd love to write stories featuring some of them. I'm old enough to have fathered them too! LOL

Some of my characters/events are based on real people and experiences, but I've modified the cast's personality enough to make them the type of people I would like to spend time with. My fantasy, my story, my way. LOL

Interesting you bring up CAP. Someone else did the same recently in a private message. I mentioned I was juggling about 10 different stories with interconnected plots and how my outline spreadsheet was more complicated than I could have ever imagined. They compared it to the complicated interactions in CAP, and we discussed the difference in our character's sexual proclivities. You're right, my guys are not as slutty. LOL

There are thirty-five named characters in this story. For some reason, I find it difficult to work with small casts. LOL About half of those people are recycled from previous stories and a handful of the new ones will most likely return. Brock, Ryker, and Meryl will definitely be back.

Not so sure about the surf for me. Having grown up in the tropics, whenever I've hit the beach in California, it's been too damn cold for me. Same thing with Fire Island. I remember shivering when I jumped in the water in the middle of August.

Better yet. Make sure tyou take pictures of all the California surfer dudes on the beach and share them! LOL
