  1. @dutch woman To be that young and well-built... Getting old is not always fun! LOL
  2. “She looks like a little skier.” Jack leaned over and kissed his great-granddaughter’s head. “Are you bringing her out to the pond?” “Yeah…” CJ had told Owen to stay in bed and taken care of feeding, cleaning, and dressing their daughter. Because of the cool morning, he added a hoodie and knit hat to her attire. “The outfit was a present from our friend, Gus Kenworthy. The Olympic skier you met at our wedding. This is the first time she’s worn it. Finally grew enough.” “I think I rem

    The Winner

@JeffreyL You made the story your own! That personalization was something I was looking for. Just don't expect open chapter ending like this one too often. As far as dialogue, I love writing that stuff and I'm delighted you find it realistic. I'm still learning to balance it properly with narrations but expect more in the future.
  5. You wouldn't be the first one to binge read the series. LOL Glad you enjoyed this chapter, Wolf!
  6. Make sure you leave room under the rock for those of us who may need a place to hide! Glad I cleared up your concerns.
  7. Another ancillary volume's coming your way on January 1!
  8. Every time you get a notification I posted a new story you're gonna have to take a look at it. You won't be able to tell what they're about unless you take a look at the description!
  9. Hope you feel the same in three weeks after the story's complete!
  10. But I like killing people off...
  11. Are you including Singer in your count? I've lost track of how many stories I've written! You better hope I live to be a VERY old man.
  12. I tried to revisit certain items included in previous stories. I felt those instances would provide background for new readers and a connection to what came before for CJ series followers. Thanks for all the help, my friend. FYI, I a;most named the priest Hugh O'Dughlas.
  13. I think Pam needs to accept Liebe's fathers will raise her any damn way they want and she'll have little to say in the matter. CJ can bulldoze through anyone that stands in his way.
  14. I'm getting the impression that if I wrote nothing but CJ stories for the rest of my life I'd make a bunch of you happy.
  15. Thanks, bud.
  16. Let's revisit the subject after the next chapter when the reasons behind her actions will be a bit clearer. If what you're thinking of is what I suspect, I considered it. FYI, Pam's 56 at the time of the story.
  17. Kia Ora to you. I had to look it up, thanks for helping me learn something new. As much as I needed a break from CJ and Company, I admit I've been looking forward to this story posting. I miss the guys and think about them way too often. As I mentioned before, the next spinoff will have more of the usual suspects in it because it takes place on the East Coast. But that won't go live until next summer. So I'm afraid this story's gonna have to hold you for six months or so.

    Chapter 2

I admit I'm not very knowledgeable. And sometimes the knee-jerk reactions are not based on logic or good information. However, you could have turned the story into another sob tale about someone with a miserable life (I started two stories today and quickly stopped reading because of it. For lack of a better way of expressing it, you handled it in an adult way. I read for pleasure and prefer lighter stuff like what I write. Obstacles are acceptable, but I prefer when characters face them and somehow overcome them. Those people, my characters for the most part, are not the only ones out there so I understand the attraction certain authors have for them. In your case, you brought up a sensitive subject and dealt with it without the melodrama many would have incorporated. For that, I applaud you.

    Chapter 2

Although not entirely my cup of tea, I truly admire the effort to write about a sensitive subject. Technically, I think this is one of your best products. Nice job, Northie.
  20. Let's hope it's edible and doesn't cause anyone indigestion! LOL
  21. Thanks, Rigby!
  22. Dave- I'm not grasping your concerns. The final paragraph showed CJ being considerate of his mother-in-law by turning off the baby monitor attached to Liebe's crib. Since she's sleeping in the same room as her fathers, it not needed to alert others when she wakes up crying in the middle of the night. Some babies do that even when they're as old or slightly older than Liebe.
  23. I think I'm slowly breaking out of the ik words mindset. Chapters in the new story I'm writing keep creeping up in length.
  24. Mr. Owens- Hope you noticed a specific section written just for you. May I suggest you stop being such a nice guy, turn down a few side projects, and go spend some time with Rick? I for one would love to hear how things turn out between the two of you. ps Mother-in-laws can be worst that brides or grooms when a wedding's involved.
  25. Terry, I think the only place I didn't plug Ripper Christmas this week was in the announcement of my promotion. If you go to my profile page and FOLLOW me, you'll get notifications on most anything I post. You can always ignore any of those that don't interest you.
