One side of my family is Jewish. My brothers and I were circumcised by a rabbi/moyel and subsequently baptized. No wonder we're screwed up! Anyway, there have been a few men disappointed when they saw me naked. Seems most guys expect Latin boys to be intact. As with many religious undertakings, any health reasons behind it have not been valid for centuries but we continue the rituals. One more reason to reject organized religion.

The use of nemesis confounded me at first. Although I know the usage is correct, I wanted to put something in front of it. Pretty good story for 30+ words.

I think actions by business people, politicians, and such which is often frowned upon, is glorified when attributed to entertainers. Misbehaving often leads to increased popularity. It can be a tightrope with dire consequences if they slip. Let's hope Chipper can keep his shit together.

The 1k words per chapter forces me to concentrate each one on one aspect which is definitely different from what I've written in the past. Part of trying new things. As for the characters, you're quite correct; I have a pantheon of interesting individuals who could star in their own tales. I often have an idea for a new story and existing characters come to mind as being perfect for them. I'm finishing up writing a second kid's story about the girl in the Florida Keys. When done, I'll start on another spinoff for one of the guys in the Squad. Hope to post that one sometime next year.

I think the serial posting makes it hard for this type of chapter. The last three were all big hits (Coachella, the boys, Bliss) I needed to slow it down for a minute before starting all over again.

@Daddydavek More Bliss you say? Here you go. Honest story, that's how she got her name! I wanted to give her a single name like Chipper and had a bag of chocolate on the coffee table while jotting down notes. Bliss returns in the next chapter.

Bliss sounds like a good match for Chipper; she ain't about to roll over and play dead. Sounds to me like Chipper's gone from an angry young man to someone who realizes Chip has faults but is still his father. I do like his loyalty to Matt, though.

@andrew35 Glad you liked it! As I said before, I have a good idea of what happens in the intervening 20 years, but I needed a short break from CJ. This chapter served to close the story out in case I don't get to write about the missing time span. The story, prologue, and chapter went live the same day. Notifications were messed up.

I'll make sure to have a long chapter with multiple scenes covering a trip somewhere sometime in the future. I do like the shorter, more concise chapters and use them again in the next two stories I've already written. But won't be artificially limited to 1k words.

That has to be tough. But it's the curse of every talent show; for every winner there will be losers. There have been instances where a contestant doesn't have any chairs turn for them, and they return in a subsequent season and do better. Not everything they perform will be a cover of someone else's hit.
