Glad you caught that... I'm tired but I'm going out there and dancing my ass off. I'd be wanting a Ben-Gay bath. I made a point of mentioning his regular gym visits; most modern, successful artists don't get to stand by a microphone and sing without moving.

I never get to vote when I watch the show for real. It's always a day or two later and I fast forward through the commercials.

Although Singer can be read without having to read the CJ series first, I wanted to include a few references for the diehard fans. Since I'd written him performing that song before, I was unsure about including it in this story. In the end I thought it fit too well and the little comment here served as a kind of Easter egg.

Hey Wes- You mentioned you rarely watch the end of the season because your favorites are gone by then. If you haven't been watching this season you should take a look and check out Katie Kaden from Team Legend and Jake Hoot from Team Kelly. The fact I can remember their full names alone should tell you how impressed I am.

Get ready for a post-Thanksgiving treat. I was going to post the final chapter on Thursday, but I suspect the new anthology will go live that day and we'll have a surplus of stuff to read after we stuff ourselves.

Readers I like, characters... well, sometimes they're intrusive to say the least. I was watching a basketball game last night and had to rewind at one point because I missed a great sequence. I spaced out while my mind crafted dialogue between the two football players in this story. I really need to get a life. -
