Adam and Charlie both reach high notes a lot of singers could never hit. And if you remember Charlie's appearance on the show, they both claimed to be good friends. That was gratifying since I picked the song before I saw that. Alicia I think won last time she was a judge. Aside from wanting the 2 oys-2 girls setup, the reason I chose her will be clear in the near future. Glad you think I got the coaches right. To anyone not familiar with the show it wouldn't make a difference, but I wanted any fans amongst the readers to recognize them. I could probably get rid of the speech tags and you'd be able to guess who was talking. At least that was my goal. Bliss may be back.

I have no idea what you're talking about. After what happened in the last chapter, I wanted to make sure readers were paying attention. Did anyone think he was still with Bryce and Zion?

LOL... Chipper has to win at least a couple of rounds! Can't have him dropping out and becoming a beach bum/model like the two guys he met in the last chapter.

I played with this chapter for a while in my head. When I started writing, it came easily. I could see each move and hear each of them singing as if it was really happening.

Glad I could start your Tuesday with a smile!

Although I didn't include it in the story, each of the coaches brings in another artist during the show to help with the contestants. Interestingly, after I had written this chapter, Adam brought in Charlie Puth to help him coach. And one of the contestants sang this song. I like my version better. LOL

“Damn! You’re tight. Breathe, baby, breathe.” Chipper demonstrated by slowly inhaling and releasing a lungful of air. He elicited a grunt from his companion. “Easy for you to say. You’re on top, and I doubt anyone could move you.” Bliss sounded frustrated. The shapely, black woman from Philadelphia shook her head and tried to follow her friend’s instructions while he massaged her shoulders. “Say what?” “Everyone knows you’re Adam’s boy, Chipper. You already punched your ticket

Featured Story: Innocence and Carnality

I&C = Mann at his best. Good review, @Puppilull -
@pickuptoy We're gonna have to cut this conversation off, my friend. We've most likely already surpassed the limit on political discussion outside the proper forum. I don't want either one of us to get in trouble with the moderators.

Thanks, bud. Don't you go off with a couple of hot strangers to a van. If you do, I want to see pictures.

Anonymous sources does not equal untruthful sources. The best example I can think of is Deep Throat. Woodward and Bernstein relied on him but not exclusively. If you read All The President's Men or even just watch the movie, you'll see their editor did not allow them to rely solely on that source. THAT is good investigative journalism. I have faith in the integrity of journalists just like Benjamin Franklin did and believe they should not simply repeat what they're told by those in power. They should always dig deeper. I do not believe MSNBC or FOX news are examples of good journalism. Most of what they air is opinion by their commentators who I don't think of as journalists.. Both networks cater to a specific segment of the population that leans hard right or hard left and will never change stripes. Nixon famously labeled some journalists as enemies when they asked him hard questions. To me, any politician attacking the media and not answering questions is hiding something.

I happen to agree with you until you get to the poll taxes. Historically used in the South to prevent blacks from voting. The Supreme Court found it unconstitutional under the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. Disregarding the legality of it, for someone struggling to feed their children, even $1.00 is too high a cost.

HAL wants to know if you'd like to play a game... Not sure why he keeps calling you Dave. -
The Drop in Centre

Even though I've read the book more times that I recall, and I've seen the movie a dozen times, I'm not sure if the movie is more confusing than the printed story. I thought the book was brilliant, but I'm a Clarke fan. The movie I always thought was very '60s' and not only because of the attire. Kubrick's movies always confused me. A Clockwork Orange was as strange as the book and I walked out of Eyes Wide Shut halfway through. Although Tom Cruise may have been part of the reason for that. -
Just remember that because someone uses drugs they're no necessarily a bad person. We must rid ourselves of kne-jerk reactions and view people in their entirety.

Our experiences help mold the type of person we become. Let's hope whatever he does, Chipper grows.

Happy birthday, Dave. Here's hoping the Cards clinch soon in your honor.

Thanks. I'll try again but there's a bug that wasn't allowing me to move stories around before. Edit: I think it worked. Thanks again.

We all have our own views. I think you'll agree I try to keep things as close to real in my stories as possible. Drugs are a fact of life, particularly in certain locations and with certain segments of the population. We'll see if it becomes a regular thing with Chipper or not.

Glad you liked it! Pretty fast reading. You have Hail to the Chief left, but that's short. I'm currently posting a Chipper spinoff if you're interested.

Sounds like a fun Saturday night to me!

Lets not forget how many musicians, actors, and celebrities have been guests at rehab facilities. The public's pretty forgiving.

I remember when herpes was what everyone feared. Talking to a doctor friend a while back, she mentioned after so many years of AIDS awareness fatigue set in. I'm not sure if it's still a thing, but I could never understand guys who set out to zero convert on purpose. HIV may not be a killer the way it was but still.
