If you read most anything of mine, you'll realize I have an affinity for dialogue too. It's why I noticed how well you do it.

You're talking to the king of acting without thinking and overreacting. If it makes you feel any better, I honestly have no idea who wIns. Kept going back and forth between Chipper and Bliss. That's one of the reasons I ended the story the way I did.

I did set up the ending in advance, didn't I? That contract contestants sign was the main reason why I couldn't decide if Chipper won or not.

BTW CJ couldn't be there even if he wanted to. New job, limited vacation time, and he's headed to Australia for Christmas three weeks after the finale.

Wasting time the other day (like last week) I realized if I had not broken up the CJ series into 11 individual stories, I would have ended with more chapters than Circumnavigation. I chuckle every time I think of Mr. James, quite interesting he and my main character share a nickname. Does the ending here qualify as a cliffie? LOL

Thank you! The next Squad story features more appearances from The Squad because it takes place on the East Coast. With Cadet, those appearances will once again be very limited since that story will be set in Colorado. Yeah, then minor characters will pop in and out when appropriate.

I have penciled Aslan in for a couple of appearances. One will be the summer he spent with Chipper in New York, and another one opening night of a Broadway show starring him. I'll also be using Bliss, Bryce, and Zion again.

That was the intent of the story, getting to know CHipper a bit better. That was the reason most of the Squad was kept out of it. I do have a rough outline for a Harley story; subject to change, his will be the fourth sipinoff. As of right now, the order is Singer, Ranger, Cadet, Biker, Baker, Preacher, and Counselor. DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS.

@JayA Although Ranger won't post for a few months I guarantee the chapters written so far are all over 1k words. However, none of the upcoming stories have super long rambling chapters, plenty of readers have complained in the past about too many scenes in one chapter. I'll save those for whenever I write another story starring CJ.

As I just said in my previous reply, I never decided who the winner was. I'll confess Jennifer Hudson not winning Idol but becoming a superstar nonetheless.

I believe finding out who won is irrelevant. However, if you want a winner, pick one. You only have two choices. And for the record, I never decided if Bliss or Chipper won.

After replying to the first batch of comments, I got on the motorcycle and left my place. I'm currently at an undisclosed location.

Keeping the rest of the Squad was done on purpose. Being out in California while everyone else is on the East Coast most of their interactions where electronic. Ethan played a big part for two reasons, he's an attorney and he's not had as much exposure as others. Of course, since Chipper will be at CJ and Owen's New Year's Eve party, we'll get to see them all interact as a group again.

Getting readers up in arms is satisfying. Although I don't think knowing the winner is that important, I know readers care about the characters. Thanks, Mike

You get me! Yep, he's ready to record and tour. We may hear about it when he performs in either Washington or New York. I do know his second album will be in Spanish, and his tour to support it will start with an early 2022 concert in Mexico City.

Hey, Terry, so happy you enjoyed it. I have an idea where Chipper's career goes but I'm not sure if I'll write another book with him at the center. However, I can guarantee we'll get glimpses in future stories. After all, The Squad does stick together.
