Wanna know the details? - My colleagues all said they'd wish I could stay and that I'll come back definitely soon, the head teacher even said that if it could have any weight she'd call the district to request I stay. - they gave me gifts: a gift card, a pen and highlighters and a card - my closest colleague 🫶🏻 made me a special card on her own (in addition the group one) saying how she wish I'd stay, she'll miss our time working together (we both had 5th graders), supervising recesses and our evenings venting to each other. We cried many many tears in each other's arms that last day (she's older but was new to the school too so we formes a very special bond together) - from my students I had: many notes books (one had put a note in it saying thank you for helping me gain confidenc, listening to me and preparing me for middle school), a sweet treats jar with lollipops inside, a set with a weekly planner, a note book and a thing to write grocery shopping list and to store the shopping coupons, froma nother a box of mms, one made me a package with a personalized holiday work book with nods to our year together (a find the error game with our class picture, a recipe with missing informations I'll get by solving mathematical problems as a revenge from all the problems I gave them, charads and rebuses...) and a bags of mms with a note on it saying: "ingredients for an awesome teacher: 🔴 great stick figures drawings 🔵 great organisation skills 🟠 a very good sense of humor 🟡 fits of laughter every half hours 🟤 a tons of patience 🟢 a love for pitch" and each one had put a pitch in their gift bags 🥹 Edit: a pitch is a little industrial brioche that can be found in many flavors (strawberry jam, chocolate chips, with a chocolate bar inside). I often had one on my desk or hiding in my pencil case that I'd eat during recess or after class
