    Chapter 3

It's not a pleasant thing for him, and only drives home the horror of his immortal existence. He will never die, but he will still experience death ad nauseum... and those around him will die, like Tyler. Only Charlie in the little group, is immortal for different reasons. Well... not immortal, just Post-Human.

    Chapter 2

Simon, I have him working for the Ministry of the Occult in later books, he's one of the few people out of the squad that actually understands the Demon bureaucracy, the Angelic Litigious nature, and the ministry rules... heck he's even more adept at it that poor old Taine is. Matt however... he takes a bit to find himself a job he's good at... and an unexpected mentor who grudgingly likes him.

    Chapter 2

Oh yeah, Matt and Matty's mum are clueless... Poor Simon, separating his mash potatoes and vegetables from a Shepard's pie, and trying to be polite. While Matt loads his veggies off onto Simon's plate and nicks the uneaten gravy covered meat. Realizing those two are the ideal boyfriends.... they just take care of each other.

    Chapter 3

Mr Ellis uses a napkin to clean the sides of his mouth after a wonderful days meal. Setting off from his favourite restaurant to cause more mayhem.
  7. Chapter Three: The Artisanal Sausage Roll Incident Saturday morning in Leamington Spa dawned grey and determined, the kind of January day that couldn't decide whether to rain or just threaten rain indefinitely. Low clouds pressed against the rooftops like a held breath, and the air had that particular chill that seeped through layers of clothing and settled into bones. Charlie had been awake since five. He'd run his usual seven miles, pushed himself harder than usual,

    Chapter 8

Thunderbolt is REALLY important in both this and the next book. One of the few Destriers to survive what is to come, and carries one of the Crusader Kings into the victory of Antioch. A character unto his own right. And this picture is lovely.

    Chapter 7

I am just about to sit down and write a scene about King Radoslav's wife, Matilda... thank you for the reminder.

    Chapter 7

I hadn't considered the As-hot thing LOL oh my... considering he is a former prostitute and unrepentant in his adoration of said "Hobby" that... oh dear And Ashot's probably in Stephan's bedroll at 10 o'clock, must to the poor monk's constant confessional vists. "Forgive me father for I have sinned..." Priest: "Ashot?" Steffy: Ashot. Priest : Tell him to stop coming by my tent at midnight, and you can sin with him as much as you want.

    Chapter 7

We all know by now that Wylan owns half of Darien's stuff by now (Hell Val is probably laughing her arse off about that fact nightly) His owning the other half is only fair. "What's yours is min, and what's mine is mine... so you know... that horse, mine. That armor, mine. Your soul... definately mine."

    Chapter 8

There's one papa-bear in the camp that might have an idea.

    Chapter 8

the magic in these books is very subtle by it's nature. This crusade was full of weird. Earthquakes out of nowhere, aurora's in the sky, comets, and literal meteor's raining down on camps. To the superstitious it looked like miracles, or Sorcerer's doing battle. Fever, starvation and imagination did the rest

    Chapter 8

I'm awake, still getting used to UK Daylight saving time Good morning
  16. Ch9 The rain had stopped sometime after midnight, leaving the camp to steam in its own wetness. The new pavilion—*Count Guy's pavilion*, though no one called it that anymore—stood at the edge of Radoslav's section like a trophy, its canvas walls still bearing the embroidered device of a house that had just lost everything. Inside, it was warm. Too warm, maybe, but Darien wasn't complaining. He lay on the oversized bed—actually *lay*, not curled on hard ground or crammed into

Brave boys bonding for their Dad. They each protect Will in different ways over the books to come.

    Chapter 2

Love the idea of Simon at reform school, and the little Pyromancer that thinks he's the coolest! It's like a more realistic hogwarts, just without the house elves.

    Chapter 7

i think Lord Haskal would have told him, While Radoslav is vain, blind to things, and generally a bit of a knob, Haskal is not, he raised Darien, is Julian's knight and knows what happened.

    Chapter 2

Simon is top dog, Matt gets to be a prison wife to said top dog, and Lynix is highly amused. Matt continues to be a great boyfriend to Simon, I do enjoy their dynamic... it's joyful.

    Chapter 2

  22. Chapter Two: The Weaponization of Red Tape The Warwick Racecourse looked exactly like what it was: a horse racing venue that had seen better decades. The grandstands loomed against the grey January sky, their paint peeling in elegant curls, their windows dark and uninviting. A few hardy souls were walking their dogs along the perimeter, oblivious to the fact that beneath their feet, hidden by layers of illusion and bureaucratic obfuscation, one of the most unusual educational inst

    Chapter 7

Indeed, Count Guy technically won... but in refusing that victory and demanding a yield, he broke his honour, leaving Darien free to nail the bastard. And I love how Radoslav just decides everything Darien won belongs to Wylan Ahh the king... special - special
