Writing Chapter 27 now. The boys are in trouble, again. But the surprising strength Stoker has, especially where his Hugo is concerned is quite moving. The poor guy is so out of his depth, and yet he's not going to let people harm his person. And the 1950's are terrifying... Just the research I had to do on this one has left me rattled. We think things are bad now... things can and have gone a lot worse.

The Question becomes, which one gets him. Will, Andrew, Sir Edward, or Enrico. Or Will it be Ezra, with a cricket bat, in the study?

Arrogance is rife in this chapter. When I write too fast though I notice I repeat myself... repetatively with repetition Bad habit of mine, one I try to break myself of but it is just me on my own writing and editing these chapters so ... sorry for the High Treasons... that were Highly Treasonous examples of High Treason... that might be Highly Treasonous...

Canada House, Under Seige, Trafalgar Square, United Kingdom The grand facade of Canada House loomed over Trafalgar Square, no longer a mere diplomatic mission, but a fortress under siege. The Square itself was a scene of controlled chaos: black Metropolitan Police vans and Special Branch SUVs formed an intimidating cordon, their blue lights painting the grey wintery day with a sinister glow. Uniformed officers, backed by armed response teams, held back confused tourists and commuters, creat

makes you wonder about Pendersliegh and his motivations for doing this to Hugo. Stoker was an accident, but Pendersliegh however...

Kulai City – Æuum – Bravo Site Metropolitan didn’t begin to describe Kulai. It was a sprawling cacophony of din, a relentless, pulsing symphony of unknown languages, strange chimes, and the guttural roars of creatures unlike any Wojciech had ever imagined. Ramshackle buildings, precariously stacked atop of one another, tilted threateningly over the narrow, winding streets that were jammed with an unimaginable variety of beings, some of which defied the wi

k so good news from the specialist, my right eye is finally healing by itself. Meaning I am not going to lose sight in it. So I can write for a long time to come. Great relief for me. About a year of back and forth to Warwick hospital (great staff there, and they've done an amazing job patching this old k-car body of mine back together)

Lo, do we worship upon the alter of the Reverant and holiest of beans, we submit our sacrifices unto thee of water and grounds that you might bless us with the juice most caffinated. And forgive them their sins of Tea... and Cocoa... they do not know better. And blessed be the Temple of Tim Hortons, built to be worshipped in on every street corner in Canada by hockey dad's up at the most ungodly of hours ferrying their sprogs to peewee practice. In this we are one, under the watchful eyes of our true trinity Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe, and Gretsky. Ahh-choo. -

HMS Acheron, Beneath the North Sea The Control Room of HMS Acheron felt eerily quiet, the frantic rhythm of evacuation having finally settled into a tense, expectant hum. The last batch of non-essential crew had just departed, their faces a mixture of relief and somber glances back at the crippled boat. The air, though recycled, felt lighter, thinned by the absence of so many men. Andrew stood by the main console, his uniform still damp, his face pale with fatigue and the lingering e
