    Chapter 25

  2. Good morning, as I said, Marcus has bigger problems than Andrew.
  3. Will woke to a cold, empty bed and a silence so profound it felt like a ringing in his ears. The heavy blackout curtains were drawn tight against the December storm, but the ambient temperature in the master bedroom had plummeted. Will stretched his long legs out beneath the heavy duvet, his hand automatically reaching across the mattress to the space where Dylan had been sleeping. The sheets were cool to the touch. Smooth. Empty. Will blinked his hazel eyes open, groggily push

    Chapter 8

Lynix is rather fond of Matt... or more inappropriately, what Matt does to Simon in supply closets and teacup pajamas. Love Matt, he's just fun

    Chapter 25

  8. The weather forecast is issuing an Ice and Cold front moving in.
  9. I just find this song really resonates with this book Andrew's loss of who he was. Will's on edge of losing everything he's built. Jason and Peter's losses through the book. And Merrick's taking.

    Chapter 25

25 The regional Mid-Western Boy Scout Jamboree was a sprawling, chaotic metropolis of canvas tents, smoking fire pits, and the overwhelming, inescapable scent of cheap bug spray and roasting hot dogs. It was a temporary society built upon the foundations of knot-tying, wilderness survival, and hyper-competitive lanyard weaving, stretching across ten acres of state park land bordered by a massive, placid lake. For the normal, mortal pre-teens of Troop 12 and Troop 50, it was the highl
  11. I am intrigued by Catherine Merrick, I do (at somepoint) need to figure out what happens to her. We know she wasn't around to raise Orel, that Oliver did it. I think it is safe to conclude that Oliver is the closest of the three Children to her in temperament and morality. While Tarquin is very much Merrick's son.
  12. Andrew is learning what he does has a cost. Darius, Dylan, et all. Merrick has a pile of bodies that he's standing upon.
  13. Out of the three boys, Tarquin, Oliver and Orel, she tries to save two of them. It takes Oliver a while, but he does eventually break free... as for Orel... Orel found his Finn and he never let go.
  14. The address was a small, unremarkable split-level home in a quiet Brampton neighborhood. It was the kind of deeply domestic, working-class street where everyone knew everyone, where Christmas lights blinked cheerfully from frost-covered gutters, and where a strange, expensive car would be immediately noticed by a dozen watchful eyes behind drawn curtains. Andrew parked his dark Mustang three blocks away, slotting it neatly between a rusted pickup truck and a snowbank. He cut the engine, pl

    Chapter 1

I really love how Richie's fear and Justin's guilt feel so raw and real. The dialogue flows naturally, and the way you weave in their history together makes the stakes (no pun intended!) feel so much higher. That haunting vision at the end has me genuinely curious about where the story is heading—I'd definitely keep reading to find out who that stranger is!
  17. ok, so you got me interested.
