    DC (and boredom)...

First time comment from me. I got to know about you leucimia a few weeks ago. I'm glad that you're doing well, considering the circumstances. My best wishes for successful fight against the disease and a fest recovery.
  2. Um... my pleasure? I simply felt, that the BB didn't get the attention it deserved, through being rarely mentioned/linked. Daniel PS: The last installments of Savage Moon were great. I'm curious what happens if Wesley meets someone out of his "old" life, or even someone of his family. But I guess that's ways down the road, if it even happens.
  3. Hehe. Thanks, but I'm quite capable to google for blood + bank + comicality. If it's the intention to keep the blood bank hidden, my apologies. I wasn't aware of that. But then I'm curious, why so?
  4. Heya! I know Comicalitie's stories for years and are a pretty big fan. Maybe I should finally take the time to write a mail of appreciation. But my post here has another reason. Today the "GFD Blood Bank" came back into my focus, because of an email from it's mailinglist. Most should know the Blood Bank, it's a fan-project, promoted by Comsie himself, where everyone who's ambitious enough can try to publish fan fictions that play in the GFD-universe. Personally I think it's a good project. The problem is that I tend to forget about it, cause it isn't mentioned anywhere. Maybe I'm plain dumb, but I even can't find one link to it. Not here at GA's main site, not in the Shack Out Back, not even in the mails that come from the Blood Banks own mailinglist! Especially newbies should have a really hard time finding it. I have to google it, to get it's address! As I said, maybe I'm to dumb to find it referenced anywhere, but if I have somewhat of a point, who can install links to it at strategic points? It's a pity if the Blood Bank doesn't get the attention it deserves, because it's rarely mentioned. So long, Daniel
  5. Same for me. If you look on his site, there's no chapter 14. I guess somebody announced it, before it was really uploaded/published. *shrugs* So I'm still impatiently waiting. Regards, Daniel
  6. Just my thoughts. The few days I played "Sims 2", I had two boys making out. Don't know, if it's european thinking, but I sometimes don't quite get it. Example GTA Vice City: Bar from it being a video game, for fun, not the real world, it's quite ok if you kill people en masse, but if there
  7. A bit late, but happy birthday! Does it mean something, the we've got the same birthday and are both into DK's writings? Daniel
  8. Just got this link from a friend: The song is in dutch, but there are english subtitles. I found it quite moving. Made me dream, that, not so far away, we're this far. Sadly I'm quite pessimisitc for free adoptions to happen in Germany or, "god beware!", the US, in the near future. Greetings, Daniel
  9. Hi Howie. Well, if you're thinking about posting it online, you should offer it to a german audience. I suppose there are quite a few german people surfing gayauthors (as myself), but I it's not the right place for german content. A well known german site with gay fiction is www.nickstories.de. Take a look at it. I can only advise to submit your work there. Beste Gr
  10. I don't use the Internet Explorer. So this is out of option for me. And why was the first thing that came to my mind, when I read Dan's comment, Homer Simpson saying exactly what he wrote. Is there a episode, where he says something similar? *unsure*
  11. I'm not really sure. It was over a year ago, that I discovered the site. But I've narrowed it down to two possibilities. Either there was a link in Dan Kirks "Dawn Of Tears" at Nifty, or I googled for the story. Quite often developing storys are hosted elsewhere and posted a bit faster there, than at Nifty.

    Sad

Wooohoo! *rofl* This made my morning. :-) PS: I've also minor problems with the site. There are sometimes short outage which make the site unavailable. Normally they only last a few seconds. If I try half a minute later everthing works again. Or at the moment the lookup for the subdomains doesn't work. I only got on Dom Luka's site, cause I acessed it via subfolder in the URL. But don't bother with my tech talk, I hope Myr understands it. ;-)
  13. Thanks for all the birthday-greetings! Didn't read it until now. Stupid time difference. Daniel
  14. Definitely "Event Horizon". Saw it in cinema. Big screen, the volume on the loud side, it really scared the hell out of me. But it only worked in the theater. Saw it once on TV, didn't impress me at all.
  15. In my local intranet we use DC++. A filesharing-programm based on "hubs" that one connects to. This noon I was quite surprised that a function, normaly used for update notices, is now used for US election propaganda. At start a message window pops up containing the folloing message: I don't want to comment this much. Only that it's true. I can't access www.georgewbush.com directly. What do you think about this? One one hand about blocking european IPs on this address, on the other hand about using a non related program for such a purpose. Daniel
