  2. I truly believe that the hardest part of any story, in any category, is the very first sentence. You'd be surprised how many stories NEVER even GET to that part! And how many more get past the first sentence and not much further. It's an amazing, albeit mysterious, process, coming up with the concept of a new story. There are so many questions when you're staring at a blank screen. Where do I start? Where do I finish? What do I write about? How is this going to be different from the billions of

  4. It's been almost six or seven years since I've been reading stories online. I got caught up in many of them, admired a few choice ones, inspired by a handful, and 'had fun' with more than I can count! Believe me! The extremely wide range of emotions and libidos that I've experienced since finding stories like this have truly had an impact on me, and that's something very powerful. One of the concepts that has always been clear to me, as both a reader and a writer, is that every word we have at o

  6. In the years that I've been writing online, I have been introduced to such a wonderful group of loving and supportive people. Fans of my stories, who read and respond whenever they can, and it truly is an awesome feeling. I have to admit wholeheartedly, that I NEVER would have been able to make it this far or this long without their constant encouragement and support. It's what makes what I do possible, and every story, in some way, shape, or form, is dedicated to all of them for that simple rea

  9. Thank sooo much, you guys. I read every email. And you guys mean the world to me. Thank you. I'm not going anywhere. Bad times or not, I have a lot more to post. So I'll do all I can to keep things moving, k? Thank you all. I love you for your support and all. Take care, k? Ps- ::Grins @ Mark Arbour:: You might be surprised, but that almost happened a few years ago. Dom Luka and I were talking about doing a joint story together. (Heh....either under 'Domicality' or 'Com Luka') So close...but no cigar. At least not yet. Thank you. Honestly. I'll remember you all soooo fondly!
  10. Yeah, we all tried long and hard to find a decent 'Taryn', but it's never easy. When the story started out, Taryn's original blueprint was part Eddie Furlong, part Vincent Kartheiser (They were both still teenagers back then, of course). But out of all the possible 'Taryns' out there, these were our top ten. http://www.voy.com/208535/2/1604.html We came close a few times, but still...no real definite choice. Check back soon for our top 10 'Justin' picks too. (Another hard one to cast)

  12. My tongue bitterly licked the front of my fangs as I attempted to keep my turbulent emotions under control. I grinded my teeth and tried desperately not to give in to what my instincts were telling me. They didn't see 'Dion' at all. The boy who was the first to break me out of the lot against Bryson's wishes when I was going stir crazy in this place. The boy who taught me to see the 'big waste' of life and helped to give me a better perspective. My instincts didn't remember the time he saved my
  13. "No! Dude, I'm serious! Hahaha! Jack Bauer totally just shot this guy in the face! He's, like, going off this year! One of the coolest seasons yet!" Ryan giggled happily on the other end of the phone. He always made me smile when he was talking about '24'. It's like one of his cutest habits, you know? Ok...so I'll come clean. The REAL reason that I called Ryan and continued talking to him for so long the night before our finals is because...well...I didn't want him talking to Sean. Ok? There.
  14. Going out to the park with Tyler that afternoon...I wasn't really prepared for what happened. It made me feel kinda awkward. I dunno...maybe it's because I've been so damn frightened of him lately. That's what made him not want to hang out with me, isn't it? It's my fault. Now he thinks I'm having second thoughts. Nooooooo....I don't want him to think that. If only I could...UGH!!!...if only I could find the words to tell him how I feel without being all goofy and stupid about it. Because I REAL
  15. It was hard to not notice the looks from other people on the bus. I guess there were more high school students than I expected going to the Cineplex that night, and from all over town, going to see the same vampire movie that Rory and I were. And BOY, were they obvious about seeing the same undeniable beauty in him that I did. It was both uncomfortable and disturbing. Anybody who says that all men are pigs...needs to REALLY take a good look at how some teenage girls respond to Rory even being

Of The Flesh I watch. To the point of obsession, I watch. You would think that my longing eyes could actually bring him to life the way I devoted myself to the act. But to no avail. He remains motionless. A series of still images, locked behind the cold flat surface of a computer screen. I had stumbled across the website one night while looking for something really 'hot' to stroke to. After three years of being old enough to actually get into porn sites 'legally', I've developed some
  18. So look for it soon! They're a bit harder to find than I thought for some reason. Ormaybe it's because I'm 'speeding' through everything at the moment. But it's awesome! I'm energized by the idea of everything getting itself back into order and falling into place. So I'm nearing the mountain peak, just have to keep pushing. Then it's 'king of the world' time!

  21. I'm trying desperately to post something....ANYTHING...but every time I do, it says I 'must enter a post'. Even when I preview the post...and see it rightin front of my eyes...it still says it's not there. Doubt this will even get through, but I'll try. Anyway, if the bug gets fixed, I'll be back with more news! Well, what do you know....it worked? Maybe it was the links....
  22. Thanks Collegeboi! And trust me, there are some surprises coming up in the series soon! So definitely keepyour eyes open for new chapters!
  23. Hey Coldsun! Thanks a lot, dude! Believe me, "GFD" has always been my most 'careful' project, so it's something I always try my hardest to get just right. (The future events kinda depend on it) But I promise, I haven't been neglecting it at all. In fact, I think you might have missed the last chapter that I posted just a few weeks ago. You might have to check the Library (http://www.voy.com/17262/) or Nifty to make sure you didn't miss that one. Because if you were looking on the story archive on my site, it hasn't been posted yet. There are still some bugs to be worked out and major moves to be made at GA before I can update my site again. But they're working on it, so hopefully everything will be updated soon. Until then, check the Library for all new stories. I'm pretty sure I posted Book 12, Chap 22 though. Who knows? I'm going senile. No worries, I've got enough sparkling story ideas to keep me chained to this keyboard for a long long time to come!
  24. Okie doke...sooo, evidently there a bunch of folks who don't check the forums and aren't on the mailing list. Which means that you've probably been looking at just the sidebar for the last two months wondering what the heck is up with 'Comsie' and where has he gone? Hehehe, ummm...nowhere. In fact, if you've just been popping in, looking at the sidebar, and popping out again...you've probably missed the last 6 or 7 posts! Oops! Well, HEY...get in here and party with us! Quit peeking in the window! LOL! My apologies if you thought everything had stopped. It hasn't. I've been updating my new chapters ONLY on the Library for the past 6 weeks. (http://www.voy.com/17262/) There you will find "New Kid In School", "Gone From Daylight", "Billy Chase", "Kiss Of An Angel", "Picture Me And you", "GFD: Ashes Lie", "GFD: Crossroads"...and probably more, with more to come. Unfortunately, GA made some major changes in the server and all, which I'm trying desperately to figure out as fast as humanly possible and still keep the site running. But I think I have a whole other profile under GA stories or something that I don't know about and can't find and can't fix...and as I've reached the very PEAK of my frustration level this evening...I'm giving up until I get another opportunity to take a crack at it. If I don't...I'm gonna end up breaking my laptop over my knee. And that's not good. Unh unh! SO...I'll try to work on it some more this week, and hopefully I'll be able to post stuff on the Shack website again on the stories and series pages. Until then, I'm not putting it anywhere but the Library, and later on nifty. I'll let you guys know when things get back on track. Cool? Hey, I'm a Taurus! 'Change' is rough on me sometimes! Seezya! Ps- Join the mailing list to find out what's new and what's getting posted. It's the best way.
  25. Now, one of the first things that caught me about this story was it's sense of humor and the well written dialogue. I mean it really creates this witty, comfortabe, vibe that I really love. I can truly see this being a movie or TV show, because I can visualize the comic timing and characters so well. I LOVED it! And as for the opening scene, I have to say that it was a reallyt creative way of 'setting the stage' for the rest of the story! It's cleverly done, where you get to find out what the characters look like, their ages, their relation...but it's done in a very underhanded way. And for that I applaud Elecivil for sneaking those details in there. I really love to see that. Not to mention that the conversations about the matching socks, the acronyms n the car (which I love doing myself), and the idea of taking Nick home without making him think that they were serial killers....all classic moments! One thing that also stuck out for me in this story was the very subtle attraction to Nick Patton, which was a change of pace to what I was used to. Most times it's like...they see a cute boy and go, "WOW! He's the most gorgeous boy that I've ever seen! I'm in love!" But not in this story. The attraction is only 'implied' in the beginning, and grows from there. And that's really how it happens for all of us at that age, isn't it? I was really impressed by that. I especially like how Brandon kept talking about his eyes. Big brown eyes. It stuck out as something really special and interesting about this story. And the fact that he's a cute little Preacher's kid....heheh that's exceptionally cute! Dixie is adorable as a friendly character, and a gentle 'push' for him to do something more, and while the whole 'band' idea seemed to be taking me in a totally different direction from what I was originally expecting....Alex, Sarah, and Corey, are just asenjoyable. But I might have to read more to know what their impact on the story overall is going to be. Either way, I founf the first few chapters of this story REALLY enjoyable! I had read some of them before, but I feel that they were much better the second time around, simply because I had more time to absorb it all and take my time. The dialogue is HILARIOUS! I would love to write something with Elecivil someday (Looks at "Lost In shadow" on my site.....ahem...no comment. Hehehe!). But it's something to read all the way through. And I wanna read more myself very soon.
