    Happy New Year Everyone

In the later part of 2016 I decided to self-publish my story Help! My Lover’s an Alien. I did a few corrections, and fixed a couple of consistency errors. Then, I added it to Amazon Paperback and Kindle (including KU) and as they wouldn’t let me post it for free I am giving all the money I receive from sales to a charity called Stonewall that supports LGBTQ youths in the UK and abroad. The current total is over £20 raised.

Please note, the story hasn’t been changed or expanded, this is not an ad trying to get you to buy anything.

But, I have a paperback copy of the book to giveaway to a GA member. I wanted to give something back to all the wonderful people on this site.

Here is a bit about the story –

    Blurb:

Lor is an Elite Guard for his planet's ambassador, and they’re heading for Earth. He is not looking for his mate, but, when they arrive he finds him. What should he do? How does an alien court a human?

Dillon is a trainer for the military. All he wants is a man to love him for who he is. That's not too much to ask, is it?

Can two men from different species make a lasting relationship work?

**This is a story written for the Goodreads MM Romance Group, Love is an Open Road, DRitC Event**

As Amazon will not allow me to list this book for free all royalties will go to charities that support LBGT causes.

    Additional Details.

    Bill's Christmas Gift - comicfan

This made me smile and cry at the same time.

It was in part a wonderful story of how Bill finds he has more friends and family than he thought he had.

The other part that made it sad for me was not only was the love of his life dead, but Jonny didn't get the chance to meet his nephew and the other members of his family that still cared.

A wonderfully written piece, from one of my favourite authors.

Boxed In: A Christmas Story - Headstall

    Loved it!

Clint was actually very sweet in his own way, even when he wasn't talking.

    Daddy Issues - Sasha Distan

An interesting take on the Egyptian Gods.

    Faeries Anonymous - Valkyrie

    I want more!

I loved it, but I wanted to know more about all the characters. I think Val's got the beginning of a great series here.

    Family Matters - Sasha Distan

    Nice short story.

I liked the way it jumped between the past and the present.

Although Jamie and Blaine are going to find their love life seriously dented once there's a baby around.

    Finding Refuge - Headstall

    A sweet story.

I wanted to get hold of the father and Cletus.

The father to give him a taste of the 'medicine' he gave his son.

And Cletus to shake some sense into him. He should have realized what he had before it was too late.

    Maelstrom - Valkyrie

    This story was thought provoking.

My first reaction to Val's question was NO! Once a drunk abuser, always a drunk abuser.

BUT! That was a knee jerk reaction and I decided to sleep on it.

I thought about people I knew where something had happened to chance their attitudes/behavior. I thought about myself and how my attitude/behaviour had changed over the years depending on what happened to me.

So, do I think people can change? YES! But, I would wary of someone who has a violent past.

Stepping Through the Mirror - Headstall

invisible and forgotten. I wanted to shake Blake's parents. They remembered he had this 'art thing' but the other siblings were more important. No chld is more important than another.

I felt for Blake's trust issues when Ryan tried flirting with him.

And lastly I cheered when they left together for their happy ever after.

The Legend of Treehaven Woods - Valkyrie

I liked this one but I wanted more.

I wanted to know more about the legends surrounding the woods. I wanted to know more about the community.

And I definitely wanted to see more of the blooming romance between Matthew and Kater.

    Trade Deals - Sasha Distan

I like how Anubis told the rude person to walk and took the others on the barge.

I also liked how Set had to beg for help from the one God he seemed to really hate.

I think the ending was my favourite bit though. Anubis seemed to have grown up and fallen in love. It was a sweet ending.

    Voli Me Tangare - aditus

    *Tissue Warning*

I can't imagine never being with the one I love, and yet being linked to his mind always.

Only having small things to remember him by. Living on the hope that one day we will be together again.

A great story, but very sad as well.

    Waiter, Waiter - ME

    All comments are gratefully received.

    Overall

I loved all the stories in this anthology, all for different reasons.

I had fun participating for the first time, and have had even more fun reading and reviewing all the other entries.

My thanks go to everyone involved with this anthology and I look forward to the next one.

LOVE IS LOVE Poetry Anthology A collection of poems written by over fifty authors in aid of the victims and survivors of the Orlando Pulse Attack. On June 12, 2016, the most horrendous mass shooting in US history and an unfathomable act of hate was directed at the LGBT community in Orlando. The horror of this tragedy reverberated around the world, leaving millions shocked and appalled at the senseless violence that destroyed so many innocent lives. In a display of solidarity with the victims and survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting, a group of LGBTQ+ and straight allies, from all across the globe, came together to produce a collection of poems in celebration of love and acceptance. The resulting Love is Love Poetry Anthology is dedicated to the families and victims of the shooting and all proceeds of this work will be donated to Equality Florida’s Pulse Victims Fund. In this small way, the authors, along with the readers who purchase this work, seek to contribute to the lives of those who still suffer from the consequences of the malice directed toward them, and offer some positivity and compassion in the face of such bigotry.

    My Review

I was excited to finally see this book out. I know so many of the authors of the poems and couldn't wait to read what they'd written.
Some of the poems made me laugh, some made me cry, some just made me shout.

I would highly recommend this great book and of course it's even better that by buying it you're supporting an equally good cause.

Thank you to all the authors, and behind the scenes people, who donated their time and talents to bring us this great product.

    My Review

First let me say I love this story. It was the first one by this author that I read and I have now read all of her work.
    The characters are wonderful.

From the beginning you will fall in love with Kayden. With everything he has been through before the story starts, and everything he goes through during, you can’t help but want to gather him up and protect him from the big bad world around him.

Damien is lovely, but, he is so buried in his work that he doesn’t even really take notice of Kayden at first. There are points when I wanted to reach into the book and smack him round the back of the head.

Harrison is the typical little brother, however, I do think he sees more than others give him credit for.

And of course lastly you have Roman…well let’s just say he would be better minus certain parts of his anatomy and leave it at that, shall we??? I’ll let you come to your own conclusion about him when you read the story.

My favorite bit had to be Kayden playing with shaving cream, I could almost imagine it in my mind. I laughed so hard.

Overall a great story full of ups and downs.

    About the author

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way. She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don't let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words. She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal. She's been writing ever since...

    My Review

Hmmm, what can I tell you about this wonderful story without giving too much away????

Well, I can start by saying the writing is great. It flows well, and glides from one scene to another almost seamlessly.

The characters are believable and endearing. You get pulled straight into their lives and the story they are trying to uncover.

One slight spoiler for you – There’s an extra bit to the story at the end…make sure you don’t miss it.

    My favorite part was:

I think this part really shows how close Alex and Cal have become and how Alex is just what Cal needs. But of course to find out where this part is, you’ll have to read the book…

    Friday 25th September 2015 – 7:30pm till 7:30am.

I am spending a night sleeping in a cardboard box on the streets of Hastings. I am also shamelessly begging anyone who can to sponsor me and help me in this mad idea.

The event is called The Big Sleep, and is run by an organisation called Seaview.
To secure my ticket I have to raise a minimum of £25 and this will ensure I get a small dinner and breakfast – supplied by a local charity as they would give to any homeless person. I of course would like to raise as much as possible to help this worthy charity.

If you can help please click to go to my online fundraising page.

I know that not everyone has money to spend – if you cannot help financially can I please ask that you share this page on your Facebook, twitter, google plus, and any other site you can, to spread the awareness.

    GIVEAWAY

I will be giving away a £5 Amazon giftcard to a random person who sponsors me.

I will also give a £5 Amazon giftcard to a random person who helps me by sharing this post as much as possible.

Just leave me a comment below to tell me which giveaway you're entering - of course you can double your chances by doing both *hint*

Thank you everyone and please wish me luck.

Just a short rant I promise. I have had to make some changes to my about me section and here is why..

I had a visit today from my church pastor and like I expected it was about… yep you guessed it, my writing. Apparently I am leading my readers down the wrong path and maybe am heading there myself. *cue the eye roll*

I won’t bore everyone with our conversation, but needless to say he wants me to stop writing gay/paranormal romance and I very nicely told him to get stuffed. I told him I would leave the church and move to another rather than stop writing. I also took great pleasure in telling him I had already found another church and they were willing to accept me and my work. The only reason I haven’t moved yet is I would be taking Alisha away from her friends and I don’t want to do that unless I have to – but I will.

As he requested I have deleted my association with the Hastings Street/Prayer Pastors from FB and my blogs/pages, as he feels they would not want to be connected to a writer of my genre. I will contact the leader of the Street/Prayer Pastors and if he agrees with this, I will ask him to take me off their rota and not to contact me again.

I WILL NOT CHANGE FOR ANYONE, ESPECIALLY HATERS AND BIGOTS.

Lastly I would like to thank my friends both old and new for all their support. I have learnt and continue to learn a lot about writing from all of you – and I have a lot of fun doing it.

Bank holiday Monday (4th May) saw the Traditional Jack in the Green parade in my hometown of Hastings UK.

Every year Morris dancers from all over gather to perform and walk the streets of Hastings Old Town.

The parade ends on the West Hill, where the Jack is symbolically slain, releasing the spirit of summer for another year.

It is a very busy day for the town, with thousands of outsiders gathering to witness the festivities. Many come on their motorcycles, there can be over 40,000 motorcycles in the town on this day.

Below are some photos of the day and for a couple of videos of the event head over to my Facebook page.

My story for mmromance Loves Landscape Athology has now been sent, I am just waiting to hear what their editor Barb thinks.

The story is called CHAPMISTRES VIEW - ADAM AND BEN.

As the title says the story is about Adam and Ben.

Ben Smith (or is that his name?) is a new witch night nurse at the healing clinic, he is running from his past and doesn't want it to find him.

Adam Rickman is an Elder on the vampire council and at nearly 2000 years old had given up any hope of ever finding his mate.

Adam runs into Ben (literally) in the street and instantly knows he has finally found his mate. All he has to do is convince Ben to spend some time with him. That is easier said than done and he has to rely on Bens employers/friends to fight his cause and help get him and Ben together.

Will they grt their happy ever sfter? Or will Bens past finally find him?

I will post a link as soon as I have any news on publishing dates meanwhile please check out Andrew and Jamie's story.

This is a short scene from my loves landscape submission. I have now finished all the edits and will see about getting it posted here some how when the mmromance group have published it.

    Story Extract:

As usual, Adam arrived early, no doubt hoping to find Ben only half dressed, just out of the shower. This time when Ben heard the doorbell, he opened and looked out the bedroom window to ensure it was Adam and not a neighbor, before calling down, “The door’s unlocked, Love.” The endearment slipped out before he could think better of it.

When he heard the front door open and shut, he then called out, “I’m upstairs. Can you give me a hand with something?” He hoped his voice was steady because his heart was beating double-time. This was the first time he had tried something like this.

Adam opened the bedroom door and stopped in shock on the threshold. Ben was lying on the bed with not a stitch of clothing on. His hard cock was pointing straight up at the ceiling, and he was watching Adam’s reaction with a very vulnerable look in his eyes. Adam started to grin, and with startling speed he pounced on Ben for a hot and steamy kiss.

When they came up for air, he asked with a smile, “Now what can I help you with?”

Ben grinned with him while running his hands over every bit of Adam’s hard body that he could reach. “Well you see, I have this hard problem I thought you could help me solve before work, but first you have too many clothes on,” he replied, trying without much success to keep a straight face. His giggling turned to gasping as he saw Adam shedding his clothes, and he got his first proper look at Adam’s body.

Adam was big all over, his whole body was rippling with muscles, and there wasn’t a spare inch of fat on him anywhere. He also had tribal tattoos all over his left shoulder, and there was a sun tattooed on his right shoulder.

Ben moaned at the sight, and he felt himself getting harder than he could ever remember being.

He moaned again as he felt Adam’s hands find his hard cock and start to stroke it with strong, slow strokes. His head fell back, and his body arched into Adam’s expert touch, while he felt kisses being feathered across his face and down his neck. He felt Adam’s fangs lightly scrape his neck, and he cried out at the sensation that shivered down his spine at the contact.

“Yes, please bite me,” he pleaded, as he writhed beneath Adam’s caresses. He felt Adam pause. “Please remember I work for Jamie. He had told me all about the effects of being with a vampire,” he added, and before he took another breath he felt a sharp pain in his neck. Then he experienced an orgasm so huge his vision went black for a few moments, before all the colors came rushing back. He screamed his pleasure at the top of his lungs as he felt Adam sucking gently on his neck, drawing Ben’s blood into himself.

As soon as Ben stopped shuddering, Adam withdrew his fangs and licked over the spots to ensure they healed. Adam panted to catch his breath. Just tasting his mate’s blood, and hearing him cry out in completion, had been enough to make him come just as hard as Ben had. He searched Ben’s face worriedly, until he saw Ben’s sated smile and the look of pleasure in his eyes.

Sunday 14th June saw hundreds of people pouring into Alexander Park in Hastings.

The sun was out for the 2015 Race for Life as women of all ages gathered to run, jog, or walk the 5k or 10k route round the park.

My daughter Alisha and my sister Lisa both participated in the 5k route, walking and dancing their way round.

Between them they have raised over £200 for Cancer Research UK. I am very proud of both of them.

Halloween night (11/31/14) I was commissioned as a Hastings Street and Prayer Pastor.

The service was at Holy Trinity Church as was attended by over a hundred people. 12 street pastors and 6 prayer pastors were commissioned and after the service went out on their first official duties.

I was the first person to be commissioned for both in the same night, this did confuse martin who was calling out the names as I had already been presented with my street pastors cap and when he called me to accept my prayer pastors bible I was on the wrong side of the stage *Chuckles*.

The service was opened by Revd. Simon Larkin (Reverend of Holy Trinity) and then Emceed by John Lyttle.

Martin West (Hastings Street Pastor Coordinator) told of how far Hastings street pastor has come since they had begun.

He was followed by Anwar Bourazza (Ascension Trust Rep) who told about how Street and Prayers pastors have now gone international. There are now street pastors in Australia and the USA and other countries where they are helping, listening and caring for people who need them.

Testimonies were heard from one new street pastor and one prayer pastor. They told about why they decided to join and what they thought was so important about the work that is done.

Paul Wenham (Director of Ashburnham Trust) gave a short message and this lead into the commissioning of the new street and prayer pastors.

All the new pastors repeated promises about upholding the words of God and the code of the Street and Prayer pastors.

Street pastors were then presented with a cap and Prayer pastors were presented with a Gideon’s bible.

After a few songs we all had tea and cake before heading to Wellington Square Baptist Church to begin our first official duty.
