Hi Marty I think i have several of Gary's stories on my read/reread list. Unfortunately my iPad screen cracked and reading on my laptop/desktop/phone hurts my eyes after a while. So, my GA reading lists will have to wait a while

Hi All There are too many pages to catch up on, so I hope everyone is well and staying safe. I just started a new job in my local pharmacy four afternoons a week so i am at least getting out and socialising (sort of) a bit now.

When i first started seeing the warnings on books i was reading i wondered what their purpose was as a lot of the warnings were implicit in the blurb of the book and there for anyone to see. However, after a while i did see the purpose of them and although like others I ignore them when reading, I always put them on my work where I (or my beta/editor) think appropriate.

A a reader i must admit that i don't read the flash stories until they are completely finished, because like you i get annoyed at the short chapters. However, as an author i do these flash stories so that i can guarantee to my readers they have at least something to read from me each week (well, most weeks). I am working on a longer story but it will be a long time until that is ready even for editing as i am having to write in my spare time of which i don't have a lot. I am glad you liked the characters and i hope you enjoy it on your reread when you get time to do it. Thank you for commenting

The thanks for the idea for this story should go to @Cia as it was an expansion of one of the word games she posted a while back that started it. I promise i am already working on the shorts and a new story. I am hoping to start posting them next month. I want to be far enough ahead that if i have to miss weeks due to RL you as readers won't miss a chapter. Thank you for commenting

In all honesty the last few chapter were completely unplanned, and therefore less well thought out. They were written in response to reader comments. The last chapter was written as a set up for the shorts that will be written. I hope you still enjoyed the story and enjoy the shorts when they are posted. Thanks for commenting

Everyone gathered in the large meeting room of the den. All the people who had started out on the mission, plus all the rescued people, plus extras like Tristan’s father. It was standing room only. The gathering was an informal goodbye celebration. It had been over a month since Cheryl had been killed. The council had ratified the group's actions and the case was closed. Now was the time for everyone to decide where they went from this point on. “This feels like the end of a story,”

We've had the same warning of that possibility here. Although it has been said the rules may be relaxed slightly if we all do as we're told I feel like I'm at home again with my mum saying I can only go out if i do my chorses
