Canada, overall, is a pretty safe place to live, but there are idiots everywhere in the world, even here
The sleepover sounds promising, but I'd imagine Liam is still to unsure, and Alek too protective about his health, for anything to get very far, right?
Thank you for your comments and support, Hoho
Corey and Jason being there, and seeing how Alek acted, and comparing it to how he was before, will help in changing their opinions of him... although I suspect Jason probably is more empathetic, since he was the one with the uphill battle when he was trying to win over Corey
Thank you for your comments and your unwavering support, Gary.
Liam should consider pressing charges, but I think he feels that he provoked the attack (whether that's true or not) and he'll need some convincing to do what he should.
Thank you for your comments and all of your wonderful support, Tim
I enjoyed writing the scenes where Alek was protective. It's how I see him, even if he did lose his way for a while.

Liam did do a pretty good job for himself, didn't he? I wish I could be that quick with comebacks in real life
Thank you for your support and comments, Clo
lol I promise there will be a story about Bryce and Nathan coming down the road. The hungry birds have been heard.
Thank you for your support and comments, Dugh
There is a decent chance that guy is going to face a little on ice justice. And although wasn't great that Liam was assaulted, it was a contrast to how well other teammates reacted
Thank you for your comments and all of your support, Parker
Bullies can often be cowards. I've learned. and attack who they feel they have the best chance of beating.
Liam should maybe see a doctor, but he is much like my husband (and many, many other men I know) and is too stubborn for his own good about his health
Thank you for your comments and all of your support, B.
Roped and Tied made me laugh as much as it did the first time I read it.
A Good Outlook has great advice for everyone. Sometimes your happiness *or negativity) is in you own hands. There are times you just have to let go and embrace the positive. The company of friends and a good cuppa doesn't hurt either
Chapter 22
Liam stared at himself in the mirror, and tilted his head to the side. With a frustrated sigh he pulled off his shirt and threw it on the floor.
“You changed your shirt again, didn’t you?” Bryce’s exasperated, but amused voice came over the speaker of the phone.
“No,” Liam denied, reaching for another shirt. This one was a deep blue that Alek once told him matched his eyes.
“Don’t lie to me, Liam MacPherson. I can hear the fabric rustling over the phone.”
I think Liam deserves a lot of credit too. He was hurt, but is willing give the relationship another chance.
Thank you for your comments and support, Lisa
Old hurt is definitely a barrier, but old hurt is hard to get past. Alek will have a lot of work to get past those barriers. Sometimes actions are more important than words, and this is one of those times
Thank you for your great comments and support, Tim
"Quiant, awkward tango" I like that Sometimes it takes people longer than we'd like to get to where we want them to be, but they are moving forward now.

I think that's what Liam needs to figure out... can he be his own man AND be in a relationship with Alek? I think Liam's gotten stronger since they broke up, and he's not leaping blindly back into a relationship. As long as he can hold to that resolve, he may have a chance to have everything he wants.
