I can't believe I missed this review. Thank you for your kind words, wildone. This really made my day. I'm not crazy about stories that throw too many characters at you at once. I like to concentrate on my MCs and build a solid base for them. Thank you again, and I hope you get a chance to read Choices (the follow-up to Liam's story.

Chapter 20 “Liam.” A deep, comforting voice spoke as if from a great distance. “Baby, come on. I need you to stay awake, okay?” Liam recognized Alek’s voice and was confused as to why the man sounded so worried. “Tired,” he mumbled, snuggling closer to the delicious-smelling warmth. “I know you are, but you have to wake up.” Liam grumbled incoherently and tried to burrow deeper. Someone else chuckled close by. Who was that? “You’re going to have your work

These are as lovely as the first time I read them (although I see you did add to one). I think my favourite is Promise, because I've been fortunate enough to be touched by your concern and leaned on your shoulder more than once. Your strength and heart got me through. Life is Short makes me think of flowers and birds calling to you through an open window to come out and play with them, and enjoy the beauty of the day. It makes me want to walk through a field of wild flowers and listen to the bees buzzing as they fly around on errands for their queen. With Shedding the part that still sticks with me is The best way to manage hurt Is to not get mired in dirt. So hard to do, but so freeing if you can manage it

If hope it made you smile, even a little, on this tough day.

I agree with Puppi, Drew. You don't need to finish this, except maybe to add a new memory here or there. You think that was naive? When my daughter was born (almost 23 years ago) my brother asked if her eyes were going to take two weeks to open. We laughed and told him she was a baby, not a puppy. I think we can give you a pass

Something came across my Facebook feed recently that I thought I should share here. At last year's Toronto Pride parade there were issues that many of you are aware of. The end result of those issues had the Toronto Pride Committee banning uniformed police officers from participating in this year's Pride festivities. (I won't even get into the irony of Pride Toronto still expecting the police to be there as security for the event.) I have many acquaintances and friends who are either police officers, or have family members who are and I can tell you, Pride Toronto's decision hurt them deeply. There have been a lot of strides made for LGBTQ officers to be accepted, and this puts a stain on their accomplishments. I know there are issues still to be resolved in the LGBTQ community and law enforcement, but I've never found excluding a group solves anything, and generally only leads to polarized positions. In response to Pride Toronto's decision a small group decided to spearhead their own celebration, in honour of first responders. The celebration, dubbed the First Responders Unity Festival is being held on June 25, 2017. I hope the festival is well attended, and these first responders enjoy a day meant to honour them and their fight for acceptance. After watching police officers in London racing towards the danger a day ago, I feel like they could use a little extra appreciation right now. More information about the festival can be hound here on their Facebook page, or here, on their website.

What is it about the moon and moonlight that evoke such powerful memories? All of these are well done Moggy. Great imagery.
-
I loved this Moggy! It really speaks to the way I've been feeling lately. I'm so pleased you've continued to post
-
Well at least I'll know where we can find @Headstall if he disappears.

This Tack Room is a happening place. I think we have a lot of horse lovers in the GA crowd
-
Gotta love life lessons you didn't expect to teach lol
-
Omg, I'm sorry Lyssa. The mental image made me laugh. I hope you weren't hurt?
-
Luckily none (I don't get to ride often), but if you change that question to 'how many times did you fail to successfully mount a horse in a lesson' ... well.

Well done, Drew. Sad scenes are tough to write, and you did very well with this. You effectively showed us the pain your character felt and the self medicated he tried to use to ease it without actually 'telling' me. I think you should spread your wings with more of these short stories. You do them quite well.

Chapter 1- The Grid and Dice Newsletter Game
LitLover commented on Drew Espinosa's story chapter in Chapter 1- The Grid and Dice Newsletter Game
Ahh brothers, the never ending pain in the butt although this was just a snapshot I think you effectively showed how mercurial a teenage brain can be. Take Devin: he went from wanting everything to end to realizing life isn't so bad. All it took wa the vestness of the ocean Well done, Drew -
These are lovely, Moggy. Dark, yes, but sometimes a little dark is what we feel. I've really loved other work of yours and this no different. Congratulations on donning the pink

This is a beautiful tribute to your love for your mother and the strength of you and your family. It's hard to stay positive in the face of a loved one's pain but somehow we must soldier on because they need us to be strong..

Those little paws do make a big impression in our hearts. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, Drew. Much love and

This was an incredibly beautiful scene. I can't imagine how hard it would be to move past the ghost of your lost great love and move on with another, guilt free. I would hope it would happen in much this same way. Both Maurice and David acknowledge and accept the fact that the other did love someone before them. There is no guilt in that love, but they are moving towards warm memories as they move on with one another Although there is a twinge of sadness in this story, there is also hope. Hope that it's never too late for a chance at love.

Between you and JP you have me weepy tonight. I know the feeling of watching a train wreck about to happen and being helpless to do or say anything.
-
So much varying emotion is conveyed in each of these. Another example of how you leave a piece of yourself on the page.
-
You may have misunderstood me. The choice I'm referring to is not the choice to be a submissive (I believe that submissiveness is an inherent trait). I was referring to was the choice in who to give up that control too.
-
I also didn't mean to offend and I didn't mean to imply that you bring nothing to the table. Maybe gift was the wrong word, but the point is the same: the Dom takes on responsibility for their sub, and the sub chooses to allow it.
-
This is exactly what I meant. YOU vetted the person and YOU trust them. That's all I need to know. The details are irrelevant. The fact is that you and tim both have made it your responsibility to keep him safe.
