    Thank you, my friend. My kids and I talked about lost ones throughout the day, and it was nice. All we can hope is that it gets easier. My SIL brought a lot of joy to the family, and she is missed. My barn will always feel empty, but that was going to be the case no matter what I did.

    You're welcome, Doha. Hope you had a great Christmas. I had hoped this chapter would give the readers a good feeling overall, and it seems it did. It's never nice to see a good friendship deteriorate, and these guys have something special. It feels like things are back to the way they were after this reunion at the farm. Yes, it was an act of service and love for Jubal, and Lucas might just see that. For someone who wants to hide, Jubal does a terrible job of hiding his heart. Thanks for the support, my friend.

    Hey, Terry. I hope your Christmas was all you could wish for. I suspect Jubal is more than happy with Lucas's reaction to his efforts. He is a man in love, so the appreciation of his actions is all he wanted. As much as his heart is entangled with this man, he still expects nothing but friendship in return. There are no ulterior motives, just expressions of his love and caring and thoughtfulness. Lucas isn't blind... but what conclusions might he reach? Happy you liked this one. So did I.
