  1. At least you have an answer now, and treatment is easier than it used to be. Hope all goes well for you, Cassie.
  2. Happy Sunday, all! Much warmer here today. Plus 2 at the moment.
  3. Lord of the Flies did it.
  4. Yes, there were hints, but you weren't supposed to figure them out until now. I just reread this, and the tears came like they always do. This was an emotional chapter to write. It was a long time coming too... to finally reveal who Kellar really was, and who Fendral was to him. I remember being very satisfied I had gotten to this point. Really glad to hear you liked this one, Thanks for this, my friend. These comments mean a lot to me. Cheers! Gary....
  5. That's really good to hear, gdaniel. Please don't forget to leave chapter likes/reactions by clicking the thumb at the end of the chapter. It's a small thing but it is my reward, and I great way to keep track of people reading my stories. Cheers, and happy reading. Keep in touch. Gary....
  6. Now I have a craving for water chesnut.
  7. Lol. I totally get what you're saying. He is a mountain of a man in all aspects, and it appears Tobyn doesn't mind that. I hope this doesn't turn you off the story, buddy, because I truly believe it is a rewarding journey if you can hang in there. At any rate, thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. I love interacting with readers about the different chapters. Cheers... Gary....
  8. I made a quick stir fry... One onion, caramelized Add I can white mushrooms nicely fried... seasoned with garlic and red pepper flakes A hint of cayenne pepper... and a few shakes of vegetable seasoning Add sauteed green beans... one can... I didn't have fresh... Cubed ham... about four ounces... One heaping tablespoon dijon mustard... two to three heaping tablespoons of salsa... a squeeze of quarter lemon... Stir at high heat... and that's it. Awesome, low calorie, tasty and really fast. I might make the same tomorrow.
  9. No, no walk for me today. I did some work inside on a doorframe in the basement where the new concrete floor is getting poured on Monday. I had to raise the frame an inch to allow for four inches of concrete. That was enough exercise along with dishes, vacuuming, and laundry... and cleaning the horse's stall. I also hand-walked my mare through snow to keep swelling down in her legs (from being inside so much). Man, that was a cold endeavor.
  10. Hey there, puddin' pop.
  11. Stay warm, all... except you, B.
  12. Hey, bro. real feel is -27C here. Warming up overnight, though.

    The Reunion

I'm sure there were many who felt that reunion between Arthur and Miss Sybil. I know I did... I was a mess writing this one, and it still gets me when I reread it. I understand what you mean about Logan using that word, but as you say, he wasn't in his right mind for a long time. In fact, that tumor made him insane, so I don't hold what he said against him. We know he was a great and loving kid before the tumor made its presence known, and I hope you can forgive him eventually. Either way, I thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Happy reading, buddy.
  14. I hope you feel better soon.
  15. Happy Friday, all! Very very bluefish cold here today.
  16. Lol. Me too. These guys are so comfortable with each other now, and that's the beauty of being mates. They were meant for each other, and I'll bet the banter and teasing between them never stops. Thanks for the comment, buddy. Appreciate it. Cheers... Gary....

  18. Happy Thursday, all! Bluefish cold here. Going to to minus 26C tonight.
  19. Sweet dreams for you too, bro.
  20. Sweet dreams, Terry.
  21. Thank you, Mancunian. I've learned a lot from other authors, and from reading their work. I love when a new author succeeds, and I am always feel privileged if I can lend a hand in some way. I need stuff to read too. You are right that writing is hard work, but dedication to the craft is what it takes to get the most from it, and I have gotten much from having a platform to create on. GA is where I got my start and it is where I am comfortable staying. The feeling of community has been very important in my ongoing development. This was fun, and @astone2292 deserves a lot of credit for keeping this feature going. I believe it provides a very important service for both authors and readers. Thanks for the very encouraging words, my friend. Cheers!
  22. I remember those times too, Adi. You had me captivated by that story, and many others. Yes, now that you mention, during RRS is when I took the writing plunge. Cheers, and thank you for the kind words.
