    Lol... I just want to make Christmas more special. We used to have a wood burning fireplace at my mom's house and I have great memories of those Christmases. I took out my two wood stoves years ago, but I miss the look of the flames. The new electric fireplaces are pretty cool, so hopefully I'll be happy with the one I bought. Someday I might put in a gas one in the living room... it has the perfect spot on an outside wall.

    No. I finished up the nailing and put another coat of stain on the beams. I'm done for the day... I think....

    Oh, I have plenty of regrets, but none that haunt me. I have come out the other side, thanks to someone who gave me everything.

    Appreciate it, buddy. I sighed contently right now too. Thanks for reading so much of my work. I am itching to write again, but am in the midst of some renovations, and am usually pretty exhausted by the end of the day. Thanks for the kind words and the support. Cheers... Gary....

    I ride horses... it is my passion... and that old adage is true in love too. We need to get back in the saddle when we come off. It might take time to be ready, but giving up could be depriving another person of their happiness as well as yours. Keep trying, my friend. I found something in my mid fifties that repaired so much in me, and I wouldn't change that for anything. It was my choice not to move far away from my kids, and as much as it hurts, I don't wallow in regret. Love is beautiful.

    That is very kind of you. I have felt things deeply my whole life, which gives fuel to a lot of pain, but I have come to believe it gives depth to my writing. At least, I hope so. Anyway, I write what I feel, and so far it seems to resonate with some readers. I am thankful for that.

    Thank you, my friend. I write for many reasons, but it is the connections readers have with my work that makes me happiest.

    Oy vey is right. I have found it a couple of times, but life has thrown roadblocks in the way, and really tested me. It's great to have the memories, but it isn't enough.

    That's exactly it. I know some think two good looking men shouldn't have trouble finding love, but there are no free rides when it comes to that. Chet and Arron attracted the wrong kind of men, and that's a pitfall I know something about. The journey can wind and there are cliffs and raging rivers to navigate... but no matter how long it takes, the journey is worth it when you find the one who makes you whole.

    I try. I just realized the chapter note I left at the end of this chapter makes it seem like the story ends with this one, but there is still another chapter to go. I really should change that. I hope you like the final chapter as much as this one. Chet and Arron will forever be special to me. Cheers and thanks, buddy. Gary....

    Such a wonderful thing to say. It means a lot you would take the time to share these thoughts. I am, and always will be, a romantic. There is a lot I would change about this story with regard to my writing skills at that time, but I would never change the heart of Song and Dance. And yes, hearts have strings, and when we give someone control of them, we are living.

    Me too. I remember being so happy for these men when I wrote this story, and it was a time there was turmoil in my own life, so this was a gift for me as much as anyone. Cheers!
