Lol. Trust me, you're not in as much of a hurry as Michael is. Thank you for the kind appraisal of this scene. I have no interest in writing sex scenes... not without love being a part of them. I get 'wank bank' stories appeal to some, but as a writer I get to decide what I write, and my heart is in every one of the lovemaking scenes I've crafted. Glad you appreciate that.

I think that's a good assessment of Candy. We already know how vindictive she is. Kendall is a thinker and a planner, even when he does it by the seat of his pants. Once he saw that opening, he saw a way to win. Still, it might not be over yet. We shall see. It was especially hard for Michael, as a cop, to allow her to extort them. Selling babies is illegal, but surrogacy is allowed if you are only paying expenses. There is a grey area there where 20,000 should be acceptable, because it can include salary lost and most living expenses. Whole catalog of crazy right at her fingertips? I might have to use that one. Thanks again, buddy.

It still surprises me how much readers connected with this first story of mine, but I never tire of hearing they got addicted to it. You're right that there is a lot of darkness in this story. Game playing in relationships is common... I think we all know that... but what Candy did is beyond the pale. She comes across to me as a spoiled child, vicious when she feels slighted. Can Kendall and Michael take her on? It sure won't be easy, but these two are a couple you don't mess with. Should be some fireworks ahead. I'm pleased you find the humor in my writing... it is an important part of it, and I always strive to include it when a story needs balanced out. This made my day, so thanks, Dan. Cheers! G.

I thought about sending a PM after I didn't hear back, but since the same thing happened with "Larkspur", I knew you were probably under the gun again and I didn't want to bother you... I know you have others to edit for as well... I'm pretty sure it was August back then when I sent you that first chapter. You've done enough for me over the years, and I figured if you wanted to edit, you'd respond in the COTT chat when I was talking about submitting stuff. No worries and no need to apologize. I haven't always been retired, so I understand time constraints... and I'm not quite as needy as I once was. @Valkyrieproofed this one, and did an excellent job... and yeah she definitely found stuff and shared some good thoughts... and you know I edit right up until I post, and I kept finding stuff too.
