Wayne, whatever this is, I hope it doesn’t give you too much trouble or last much longer.
-
Glad to hear that, tim. I have yet to run across a self-absorbed individual, but there’s still time, I guess.
-
First it was hoarders trying to make a buck off the coronavirus now it’s scammers. Be wary of unsolicited emails/texts/phone calls... *sigh*
-
You are venting not whining, Starry, and that’s important to do that when you need to. What @MichaelS36 said is what you’ll find from all of us here.
-
Good to hear you both are safe, Mike. Looks like sunny weather for the next couple of days, so going for a walk sounds like a lovely idea.

I just got back from grocery shopping, so I have to admit, I am liking the quietness now. The store did get in a lot of stock, more than normal I’m assuming, so there were stacks of stuff to replenish the empty shelves. Good humour abounded ( there was more than one bumper carts comment), but seriously, I would have turned around and walked right back out if I was just shopping for myself. I did get to meet the loveliest of dogs (and his owner was just as kind), so that was nice. As for you young tim? You’re not alone - as are none of we - because we have each other even if it is through the keyboard. As always, your words are wonderful.

@mollyhousemouse glad to hear you’re eye appointment went well. @rickproehl The new normal (for not too long, I hope) is of varying degrees here. Public meeting/eating/entertainment areas are shutting down. Malls are currently still open, but with reduced (not by a lot mind you) hours. My driver’s license and health card are due to be renewed in April, so I plan on doing that tomorrow. My mom told me she read Service Ontario (provincial vs Federal which is Sercive Canada) offices would be closed as of tomorrow due to the virus. Luckily, she got the wrong, and it’s the city offices here in town that are closed. Thankfully, that was one ‘oh crap!’ I can rescind.

@MichaelS36 this should make you smile. Now if only it happened to all who did this. https://www.wrcbtv.com/story/41897345/colvin-brothers-donate-stockpiled-sanitizer-while-tns-attorney-general-facilitates

Saw this sign (posted all along the aisle) at my local grocery store. Good and fair policy, imo. No TP as yet, but theres more facial tissue and paper towels
-
The organic section was pretty well stocked, too. Very telling, isn’t it?
-
True, but now they’re actual neighbours know who they are. Not so neighbourly now I’m betting (and hoping). I have family in Vancouver, so reading about those two really pissed me off. Karma’s a bitch as the saying goes, so...
-
We still have pasta and meat with deliveries still coming in, so hopefully, that keeps up. But, yeah, the only time I saw the shelves this empty was when Loblaws was renovating their store.
-
Just got back from the grocery store. The TP, Paper towels and napkins are completely sold out here, too.
-
The one featured in The Star (the couple from Vancouver) came across as so proud of themselves, too. I googled the man’s name and found a thread on Reddit that was definitely not praising their entrepreneurial skills. If any of these people doing this have social media accounts, they’re going to get roasted, and rightfully so.
-
They say flushable right on the package, but you make an excellent point as to their true nature.
-
I saw flushable wipes in the baby section (no stone unturned, don’t you know). Paper napkins and facial tissue are good options, too. I wouldn’t recommend paper towels unless you’re going to throw them in the garbage because they’ll clog the toilet.
-
I’ve heard about that, and so have a lot of other people I’d say because the alcohol has been bought out as well.
-
We don’t have a TP shortage or purchase limit yet, but the only place I found hand sanitizer (the small personal size bottles) was at the local dollar store. That was last week, and now it’s all gone.
-
That didn’t happen where I worked, but there was a lot of rescheduling of patients when I wasn’t part of the team screening patients as they came through the door. Your comment reminded me of one of my bosses who bitched regular work was falling by the wayside because of our new - and very important - duties. Can we say self-absorbed?
-
That last line. You trying to tell us something about yourself, molly? Made me chuckle, this did. Thank you!
-
Good night molly... happy dreams
-
Hopefully, your mom has got it wrong, Starry.
-
There’s rain coming this way next week and the temperature will drop back to the 30s (50F today and tomorrow) but no snow in the forecast, so that’s something at least.
-
Looking forward to tomorrow.
