That makes sense. I saw a pending order on my for running shoes at Sportchek but it did eventually go through. I guess they weren’t in a hurry to get my money. Thanks for the explanation, tim. I figured there was nothing nefarious going on.

Don’t know the date, but it was about five days ago, so during the business week. Also, she cancelled the order (sanitizers and the like) the same day when she realized the products were coming from China. Though, I suppose a lot of stuff does, it’s not always so obvious.

Yes, nice of them to pass the buck as the saying goes. Even though she’s 86, my mom is a keener when it comes to doing stuff online (had to drag me kicking and screaming into the online banking world lol) so she’s not going to let this go until the situation is resolved.

My mom called her bank help line about a cancelled (from a week ago) charge from Amazon still showing today as pending on her cc. They’re so busy, she was told to send an email.

I practice social distancing when I’m out for my walks and last time I was in a store (Wednesday, I think) just don’t engage people . People I find are acknowledging each other from afar. I haven’t heard anything against congregating as yet (as in groups) but I suppose one way is to close the malls.

Yes, he’s fine so no worries on that front. Yes, snow starting tonight, but the forecast has changed and it looks like wet snow that’s going to turn into rain.

Went for a walk. Meant to do laundry, but forgot about so I’ll do it tomorrow since it’s supposed to snow, so a walk isn’t likely in the forecast. Talked to my US brother who says he knows 10 people with the virus. *sigh*

On my walk today I came across a house that had single letter signs in their living room window that read ‘enjoy your walk’ and ‘have an an awesome day’. Put a smile on my face that did. Other people were out walking as well, but we practiced social distancing so we could all enjoy our time in the sun. Good night DiCers. I wish the sweetest of happy dreams for one and all.

A tree and a gazebo had a party. It got a little rowdy....and it only took eight - count ‘em, eight - hours to clean up their mess. smh

FYI This message along with a link is being sent via text. It’s a scam as per local police. They might also be trying it pretending to be the American Red Cross, but I’m just guessing, I don’t know for sure.
