Sorry to hear you had a rough - I’m being “polite” trip home, tim. Here’s something to make you laugh - or roll your eyes. Washed the bed sheets this afternoon. When they were done I, of course, made the bed. After arranging the blanket neatly I turned back to the dryer to get the pillow case. Imagine my confusion when I saw how full of white fabric the dryer was. Mighty big pillow case, you say? Nope! It was the top sheet I was seeing because I forgot to put it on the bed before I neatly arranged the blanket. If you’d been here, you would have been witness to me ripping the blanket off the bed, so I could put the top sheet where it belongs.

I don’t see why not. As long as everyone is on the same page about the expectations of the relationship, I think it would work just fine.

Unfortunately, there’s a downside to most places that are well hidden - or not - until you get there. Up north is lovely as long as you’re not there in bug season for example. As for moving from Toronto, I realized recently after thinking about it on an off that my surgeon is here, so moving away from Toronto would be a bit of a pain when the need for more surgeries arises. Ah well, Toronto does have its good points like being transit friendly - I come from a car friendly city - so there is that. Plus, you can walk to a lot of places. I guess, I’m here to stay.

Since that post, four cars have gone by. As for it ending early, I’m afraid not as it’s happened as late or later than 1 a.m. The road and highway are quieter then, so they’ve got more room to maneuver. Ah, well, I’ll go to sleep when it’s quiet, so I’ll sleep through whatever comes.

I have to say, one thing I hate about summer is that it brings out the idiots who like to race their “muscle cars” (and yes, the quotes are deliberate) down the street and/or highway. Nothing like destroying the peace of a summer night.

Too bad you don't have the prof I had way back when (he was dad to Dave Thomas of Bob and Doug McKenzie fame) because he was hilarious and the class was a blast as a result. As for strangling you, A? No can do, because I like you too much. Just remember, one step at a time and don’t think of what comes next until it’s time to deal with it.

You know me so well, Def. The holes were the size of quarters. I have inserts in my shoes because the memory foam insole was wearing away (second pair, and I’ve only bought two, to do this, so I’m never buying shoes with memory foam insoles again), but still, you’d think i’d notice something wasn’t as it should be. Oh wells, this is me I’m talking about... I feel there are a few too many commas in the above explanation. *sigh*

Just before I went on my walk, I discovered my shoes have large round holes in the bottom where a cushioning plug - I assume that’s what they were for - used to be, darn good thing I have another pair. And, I didn’t melt even though it is quite warm outside, so that’s a plus. Have a good night everyone.

I was actually okay - even though half of my foot was bruised - wearing a very roomy shoe. Sure I changed the way I walked to not put pressure on my wounded toe, but I do recall it did take a while to heal. Mind you, I never taped it, so I’m not sure what, if any, difference that made.
