  3. Good night Def...happy dreams
  4. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always when the time comes xoxo
  5. Me neither. In fact, I probably would have argued with anyone who tried to tell me they were. The things we don’t know...
  6. I came across an article that talked about exactly what you’ve mentioned, Parker along with the name Pin Oak. Trees that don’t shed their leaves are called marcescent (from a Latin root meaning ‘to shrivel) deciduous species. While not in the same geographical area as me (and tim and Mike), this article explains the nature of these trees quite well. https://www.adirondackalmanack.com/2017/11/marcescence-ecological-mystery.html
  7. Time for lunch, and there's a book I need to finish reading, so I see you laterz....
  8. They're all like that. They seem to be missing some leaves near the top of each tree, but otherwise, they're all still covered in them. The leaves have curled up, so I can't see what shape they are. I think I need to be having a chat with Mr. Google...
  9. Just got back from a walk on another glorious winter day. It was a bit nippy in the beginning, but the shining sun made short work of the nip. As it is the Family Day holiday, kids and parents - and pooches - were also out and about enjoying the nice weather. The giggles coming from the tobogganers as they flew down the hill and the joyful sounds of kids skating on an outdoor rink made this sunny day even better. Met a lovely Saint Bernard and got my coffee at the corner store, so all in all, it was a nice "adventure" Oh, and here's another odd tree (one of a row) I passed along the way. I've walked by it a few times and have marvelled each time I pass them that they have not shed their leaves. Do they not know where they live? Are they in denial? Are they delusional? I mean, why do they still have leaves on their branches??????
  10. I’ve been enjoying the view from inside, but it keeps calling me to enjoy it from the outside. I’m heading out now, so I’ll see you later... Edit: Plus, I’m out of coffee, so, I need to go out. lol
  11. @Mikiesboy It’s a gorgeous day out there - at least it is out my window - so maybe some fresh air - even for just a bit - will do your senses some good.
  12. Then put your writing aside, tim, and do something else. You will find inspiration again, just not today, or maybe not even tomorrow, but it will come. Cause, you know, I seem to recall you saying this before, and then you wrote something quite brilliant.
  13. Yes, the pristine snow looks so pretty. When I went to Canadian Tire on Saturday I did see a lot of snow by the road that was all black, so hopefully, the new snow covers that for a bit.
  14. Nope, it’s not. I checked this morning and the ceiling is completely dry, so I’d say I’m in the clear - very happy about that, I am.
  15. So, tonight my upstairs neighbour had a flood (some kind of backflow in the pipes from a blockage somewhere on the line) in her unit. Doesn’t matter how many times management tells us to not put anything (like oil that will dry and harden( down the kitchen sink, there’s always someone who does. I’ve had visits from security, the building Super, amd a plumber. All were checking to see if I had leaks through my celiling. The plumber had a gadget he held up to the ceiling that could detect water, and he (thank you very much) came up empty, so it looks like I’m in the clear. I’m so relieved it’s highly unlikely I’ll have any issues at this point as I heard the unit above me was flooded quite a bit. That was my night, hope you all had a good one...
  16. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always when the time comes xoxo
  17. You should definitely check them out. Guaranteed for a lot of chuckles.
  18. Something new works for me.
  19. My Netflix doesn’t care enough to say that, it just turns itself off. Your comment did remind me of the time I stayed in my seat at the theatre and watched the final credits role on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Have to say, I wasn’t expecting this...
  20. Oh, I know how that’s possible. lol I don’t ever look at the time on my laptop because it’s so tiny and out of the way, so I bought a clock that sits under my desk lamp. Helps, if you notice the time hasn’t changed, though. Who knew batteries die?
  21. Good night and happy dreams when the time comes, molly.
  22. This seems to be a pattern with you Thorn, do we need to, perhaps, buy you a better clock? Could be... Good night and happy dreams...
  23. Good tim...sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
