  1. hey Def, and yes it is the weekend, so yay!
  2. The photo of the crashing sea is really quite spectacular as seen from my couch, that is. sure I’d not want to be anywhere near there while all that’s going on.
  3. Good evening DICers! It’s so nice to be home and out of the snow and the wind. Recently, I mentioned buying Nescafé Gold instant coffee not realizing it was the espresso version. While I do like it, what I really wanted was just plain old instant coffee, so I tried again. Found this and am drinking a mug of it now. Sure hits the spot on a winters night. @BHopper2 If you have more jokes, please share, ‘cause the ones you posted were funny. 😁
  4. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always Good night molly... happy dreams
  5. It sure is! Mind you I didn’t look ahead to see what the future was going to bring. I was out when it started, and it got got going very quickly. Guess it’s time to get my boots out of the locker.
  6. Good night tim... sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo Good night molly... happy dreams
  7. Good ole Mel Lastman. Got the city moving again, though didn’t he?
  8. Well, thank you kind, sir. I do have my moments.
  9. tim, you're well known - for all the right reasons, of course - on GA, so changing your site name may lead members to think you and /or your stories are no longer on GA. Having said that, have you thought about changing your avatar? I do you recall you saying you don't like Tim Horton's.... I was fiddling about and thought maybe you could make a stylized version of tim, print screen it, so it's a small file and make that your avatar. Something along the lines of what I came up with. Just a thought, mind you. Edit: and if you do, don't forget to cancel out grammar and spelling lines - oops
  10. or. or I don’t know which of these three is the Nescafé Gold you drink @Mikiesboy, but I bought the Espresso one after seeing it in SDM (Loblaws didn’t have any of them). I will say, I didn’t notice it said Espresso on it until after I got home. I’m having some now (with 2 packets of Stevia and a generous dollop of milk) and, I have to say, it sure is yummy. So glad you mentioned it.
  11. Thanks, A. What your saying sounds familiar
  12. Account Settings in the drop down menu under your name at the top right of the screen. Middle column where it says Change beside Display name. I’m not sure if your having author status might make the change more difficult. I recall that being an impediment for something that wouldn’t be a problem for a member, but I can’t remember what it was. I changed my name slightly, but I did it when I was only a member and not well known on GA. Not sure if I wouldn’t mess things up now. You could always PM Renee and/or Cia if it would change all over (I’m thinking about your author banner and story headings) things that might not be electronically connected to your account.
  13. Looks okay to me. And if memory serves me correctly, it’s also posted in the original LOL thread in the Games and Humour forum.
  14. This topic got me to thinking about the Filter Queen vacuum I inherited from my grandma after she died. This was 33 years ago, and at the time she purchased it (so 33+ years) it was understood to be a high quality vacuum that came with a hefty price tag. I dread thinking how much it would cost to purchase today.
  15. Literally, yes you can, which which is A-ok in my book.
  16. Back when I still had cable (five years ago now), there was a commercial for Dyson vacuums. It was of a grey-haired elegant looking British man - the apparent inventor/owner of Dyson vacuums - lamenting the lack of good quality vacuums, so he set about rectifying that situation by creating a better vacuum - Dyson, of course. The Dyson inventor/owner came across as a well spoken, but pretentious prat, imo. As for the price tag? Last time I looked, they were all at least $500 to $800 which was a big ‘are you kidding me’ moment for me.
  17. Good afternoon everyone and have a great day... @tim @Mikiesboy It’s no longer snowing and it’s sunny, so I’ve got my fingers crossed it stays that way. I did appreciate the picture of the snowy tree - very pretty...
  18. My eyes are watering and squinty meaning it’s time to step away from the keyboard. Good night everyone...
  19. Interesting to note, I just started reading a story and one of the MC’s is a young man named Tim. I’m finding my mind being tripped up by the capital T. It seems wrong to spell it that way...there’s just something about “tim” that is just right and as it should be.
  20. I was just going to say that, but you’re too quick for me, A.
  21. Let me know who you mean, and I can pass along the name(s) to Cia.
  22. I’ll pass your message along to Cia.
  23. Relatively new, and it happened with SkinnyD yesterday because I was notified of a comment on his blog which got me to thinking about the status of his stories. I PM’d Cia so she could make the change. GA now has a status to show an author is deceased. It’s so members won’t be left wondering when a story will be updated or why there’s been no response to a chapter comment.
  24. Welcome back, layla. Broken Prince and Mismatched Eyes came to mind recently, and now here you are. Is it a sign I should read it again? I think so...
  25. No clue, nope, none at all...
