I read this and said, snow, what snow? Then, I put my glasses on and said, oh, that snow...doesn’t look like it’s got staying power, which is good.

Put my glasses on and had a good look outside. Lots of leaves on the ground in the immediate vicinity, but looking beyond that, there are a ton of trees that look like they haven’t shed one leaf as yet. And, it’s November - wow.

Yep, same here. I’m going to appreciate the bright sky from inside. Plus, I can hear the wind whipping around out there, so there’s that, too.

My thermostat shows the inside temp is 20C/68F. Good thing I turned the furnace on or it would have gone below that.

But, but, I’m the fun aunt, and telling an 8 year old child (in a deadpan voice) under stress from a “stressful” card game to ‘suck it up and deal with it’ isn’t very responsible, now is it? Course, she did burst into a fit of giggles, so I relieved her stress, so there’s that. I just hope, she never tried that on someone else. You know, so her folks wouldn’t ask how she came up with that particular phrase...

I don’t know a lot either. I actually did a class project on it back in ‘92, but that was so long ago, I’m sure a lot of info about it has changed.

I feel like I’m younger than I am because I’m short and I’m not responsible enough to raise a child properly. That would be the purview of my younger and much taller SiLs

The renovation at the Shepard Centre are almost done, which means Longo’s will be open soon. So looking forward to being able to get fruits and veggies so close to home at good prices, too.

Duly noted. This morning, I was drinking my mix of hot chocolate and coffee after brushing my teeth. It had a delightful minty taste.

I’m glad the Dollarama is around because they do have a lot of good things at great prices in their stores.

I liked the Zellers where my parents live, but the one at Centrepoint Mall not so much. As for Simpsons, my mom worked at one until they “closed” which is a euphemism for they turned into a Bay store after being bought out by that company. Have to admit, in irs later years, I only ever bought gloves at Eaton’s before it closed - thought the buyers for the clothes they sold brought in crap stuff. The Bay has brought them back, but the Simpson’s Christmas windows at the Yonge and Queen store were amazing. Went there every year when my family came into the city for my yearly doctor’sappointments. It was a real treat.

It is raining, it has rained all day long, there is no end in sight. *sigh* I’m going to snuggle under ny throw blanket and huddle on the couch and read. Have a good night DICers! I may or may not be back, so just in case, the happiest of sweet dreamz to you all...
