I’ve only just started reading , but I’ve come across a line that is just wonderful. three small words and yet they say so much. I am left ruminating in their wake. *okay, back to the story*

The HEAer in me would like Josh and Kells relationship to get back on track ASAP. Having said that and thought about it for a bit, maybe taking the approach of putting their history - short it may be, but quite significant, imo - to bed and moving on by dating other people is a good idea. Josh will get a chance to see things from a different perspective. Either, he will like what he sees or he's going to be taking trips down memory lane he hadn't planned on. As for Kells, he may have utilized his "little black book" for a hook up, but I see him taking that route to try and convince himself that's what he should do. His head says that is so, but his heart says differently. I'm rooting for his heart to win in the end. As always, you have a fantastic way with words, Starry. Nicely done.

Hi CscottyCA What you're describing sounds like what I went through when I was trying to figure out the best way to receive story notifications. There are two sections to the Notifications list. This is what the Stories options (part of it, that is) looks like in the second section. The column on the far right is for emails, the one in the middle is for notifications. Toggle the switch to the on position for the notifications you wish to receive then save your options using the save button at the bottom of the page. Good luck!

- my reaction to the bit about William S. - I think I had the same reaction when I was in school. That was terrific, tim. If I remember correctly, I counted three instances where Dean's question was "answered" by a statement. It seems like it should be easy to comprehend this, but reading these lines and the others has given me a bit of whiplash with their abrupt change in direction - very clever technique to throw off your reader so that we can feel the same as Dean in these situations. Talk about walking in someone else's shoes... 🤗 🤗 🤗

I'm sure that's true. The raccoon I saw a couple of months ago stuck his head in a hollowed out log trying to "escape" my presence. He couldn't manage to get in the log completely, so he toddled down the hill to get away.

True, but speaking from experience you've got to look where you're going, too. Admiring the glorious has its drawbacks if one's not careful...

I totally agree, tim, which probably explains my obsessive need to walk outside for exercise rather than using a treadmill indoors. It my seem childish, but I am delighted every time I see woodland critters - chipmunks, raccoons, bunnies - on one of my walks. Heck, I don't even mind when I've gotten caught in the rain and gotten soaked. As for the cemetery I walk through, it speaks of a long life and endurance, which yes I realize seems like an odd statement. But, maybe it makes sense because it's here and thriving in the city 100s of years after it first came to be.

tim, the walk you describe evokes feelings of peace and contentment with no cares but to just feel and appreciate what surrounds us. it! And, no surprise, nicely done. As always...

The perfect words to describe my reaction when I realized what this “story” was all about. I felt like the proverbial fly on the wall as I listened to the author discuss his works with whom I can only describe as his muse/sounding board even though said muse is one of his MCs.
