  1. OK! OK! Just stop interrupting me with the nukes already.
  2. More like in hiding. What an...
  3. Similar to Blah, Blah, Blah, but with a bit more color and noise. Still another fallback. 😛
  4. Hey Gary! I didn't know he had passed. It's been difficult to follow the sport I love the most from half a world away.
  5. I like the relaxed feeling of this chapter as Andy's bond and trust in the Stevensons strengthen. Dad with the driving lessons and frank discussion of Andy and Zander's relationship, Zander's lessons that increase both trust and self confidence with Andy and Monica just being a protective mom to both boys. I hope the swim meet goes well for Zander, and that Andy will not have to face any major problems while Zander is gone.

    Chapter 49 Trust

I like the new name Andrew Eustace that Andy has chosen. Headstall got me into the habit of checking out the meaning of names, so I checked out Andy's new name. Andrew means manly or man and strong. Eustace means steadfast. So for me the new name means "strong, steadfast man". I think it fits Andy very well.🤔😄 Andy is growing and developing well with the love of his new family. It is a great new start for Andy as he throws off the old baggage to become something much more than he could dream about in his old life.

    Chapter 48 Scars

I liked Zander's solution to the problem of swimming class from the beginning. I also think that Zander has a natural sense of what Andy needs to become more confident. The way Zander responded to Andy's perception of his scars was both sensitive and full of love. Dr. O'Shea was able to finally get through the final barrier that Andy had erected to help Andy remember and tell of the horrific abuse by Andy's uncle. That man was as much a monster as Andy's father. It may take time, but I now feel confident that Andy will heal from the terrible past with the love and help from Zander, Andy's family, friends and the professional support he now has. Great chapter!
  8. Hey Gary, Albert Dugh, Page, Bucket, Clo and Dodger! Going to leave for the night (here) have fun in the sandbox with Drew!
  9. Deal! I'm out of here for some R&R! Hey Spike! It's up to you to keep the wild man under control today. I offer the same apology as i gave Albert.
  10. Hi Spike! I think he stayed up past curfew and woke up a bit cranky today. 🤔 How are you today?
  11. I see I've driven you back to your usual fallback comments. 😜
  12. What a sweet compliment sexy Texy!
  13. Yeah it did, but the claims over the Louisiana territory were for only were for only about 40 years, and the claims for anything north of San Francisco were spurious at best. A few small temporary settlements on Vancouver Island and the Alaska Panhandle. In Oregon, Washington and Northern California all the Spanish did is sail past and and pointing to places saying " We'll name that....". Spurious! Does that sound familiar???? Hm? 🤔
  14. Good Day Clo! How's my favorite fairy today? Do you think you could spare a bit of fairy dust to sprinkle on Drew? I think he need a trip to Neverland for some R & R.
  15. Good Morning Albert! Glad you are on board. I'll turn over the bad boy for you to battle for the rest of the day. My apologies in advance.
  16. But still Texan, right?
  17. Now I understand your propensity to claim territories so easily. It is based on Spanish royal claims over territories that were held for only a short time, or in areas claimed by many other nations. I could make the same claims since I have visited Central America, Canada, almost all of the USA, Thailand, S. Korea, China, Cambodia, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia. Easy, peasy. I don't have to do anything but visit.
  18. I am one the same page. If I don't make a very conscience note of it, I sometimes forget that I did something or have something to do. I make sure I put any commitment on the calendar and check it daily. I'm not old in my mind, but I'm not stupid enough yet to trust either my short or long term memory. I do have a cure for aches and pains. Take two large cans of beer before bed. Works every time for me.
  19. Hi Bucket! Hope you had a great day. The weather sounds good. I hope it stays that way for a while. Spring is a great time. Here the weather has been nice, at least no torrential rains today. I didn't need to turn on the aircon until early afternoon, and only then for a couple of hours.
  20. So you have finally admitted he's a Texan? Most interesting!
  21. For someone you are trying your best to get out of Texas and the USA, you seem to be on very good terms. What are you trying to hide? BTW, the logic of Spanish Kings visiting American colonies is flawed logic. If you want to follow Spanish royal precedence then make Ted King of Canada since Canada is bigger than Mexico under King Maximilian I and Agustín I. Viceroys were for much smaller territories.
  22. An amazing chapter that builds a lot of tension. First was the lack of any information on Carlsberg about Andy. Then Kaz's question that sent Andy for a tailspin. The really bad part is that Andy is getting closer to remembering something about Uncle Ray that may send him plunging into the depths. Some rays of hope balance these instances. Andy is continuing to build a support group, making some progress with Dr. O'Shea's help and building trust with his new family. He is also finding out that Zander's love is unconditional and true. I like a story like this that finds some balance between extremes. Well written dialogue like this adds to the feeling of empathy with the characters.
  23. I got some very warm feelings from this Valentine's Day chapter. I am happy that Andy is getting the love and support he has alway needed and wanted. He's new to the family and his background is new to the family. Mistakes will be made, especially as everyone is pressed to act quickly on things like the appointments. The Stevenson's are trying to make things normal, but forget that Andy doesn't know what's normal for a family. I am sure that they will work things out, however. The only thing that bothered me was the first medical doctor. He had background information from the judge on Andy's situation, but handled the appointment with less than a professional manner. It was like he wanted to rush things without taking the time to explain what or why he was doing them. He totally ignored Andy's reactions to his physical examination. Dr. O'Shea did handle things well by being kind and accepting what Andy was willing to say without pushing him. I think she will be able to help Andy gain power over his "ghosts" as she gains Andy's trust. The Valentine's day gifts and cards were such a beautiful touch.

    Chapter 109

I really enjoyed this great chapter! I, as a human, have a bit of fear of the unknown. Since Timok's motivations and intentions are a bit of a mystery most times, I have feared he was part of the problems Essell and Garjah faced. I have to admit Timok has be much more open and effective in helping since the attack on Garjah. He certainly knows what to do professionally since he administered the correct antidote to Garjah as soon as he could. I was glad they all got back to safety. I also felt good that the Kardoval have finally been exposed. Of course, Ases did imply that he may have kept a secret from Garjah and Essell and may be able to get proof back to the Galactic of the corruption of the Kardoval. I'm sure that the rebels will have an upper hand when the knowledge of the Kardoval's evil actions becomes planet wide.
