  1. Of course I forgot to mention that the wall phone was the first phone I actually used. It was in the kitchen nook, and my Dad had to lift me up to talk with my aunts or uncles in Tennessee. It was a 5 party line, and a real source for community gossip in those days.
  2. Behold the Pleistocene phone! Behold my very first phone!
  3. My first one looked like this phone. I think it weighed in at about 2 pounds.
  4. Good Day Page!Sawasdee Khrup 🙏 Hope your day has gone well. I liked Max's description of your old phone.
  5. Hey Albert, Has Steve settled down yet from the inconsiderate neighbour's comments? I can't believe the guy with chickens and roosters had the nerve to complain about the noise of yard cleaning. He should move his farm to the country.
  6. Hey Drew! Sawasdee Khrup 🙏 Don't mean to starve you, just worried about you're health and safety with the parents away. I think you'll be safer sticking with boxed cereal and milk. Hard to do that wrong.
  7. Good Morning/Evening Everyone
  8. Hi Clo!The new profile pic is great! Who's the cutie you're with?
  9. Great sparring full contact between Dirk and Vincent. It was very exciting to see. I do agree with Yakob that Vincent needs to know how to fight thru the pain in order to win against Stefan. I am very sure that Stefan will be able to inflict great pain during their fight. What was truly frightening was Yakob's display of power. Vincent is still far away from achieving that level. He will definitely need to reach that level in order to neutralise Stefan's shadow power in a fight. Wagner got what he deserved, a humiliating demonstration of what Vincent could have done to him. I don't like Wagner, but do hope he changes his attitude and turns his life around. I wonder if Cyrus will want him anywhere in the pack, let alone an Enforcer. Again, dear author, you have written an exciting and riveting chapter.
  10. Lady Terik's possession was funny and informative. Don't like her sister's crazy destiny, and it sure puts a lot of pressure on Vincent. Yakob's later reaction was intriguing. It will be a very interesting conversation later when the sparing has finished for the day. Glad that Dave and Stacy's relationship is beginning to warm up. He deserves to be something more than a sex toy for the shifter women. I am still a bit confused with the comments about a mole. I don't remember a mention of a mole in the story, only the comments. There are some peripheral characters, but they are without power or close contact to assist Stefan. That leaves only a member of the extended family of Vincent, or Yakob. If there is a mole, I'll just need patience and a bunch more clues.
  11. Kaplan and Cyrus are quite the power couple. Kaplan did handle Wagner, but I do like Cyrus' idea of putting the fear of Vincent into him. Maybe he will have a personal revelation like Dirk had. I'm up for an interesting god visitation. I am hoping it is the goddess of love this time announcing a change of rules to favor destined mates of different species.
  12. Since this is contrary to the current of the comments, I'll start from the last of the chapter. Richard is a collector of knowledge and as we know knowledge can lead to power. First, we already have four shifter mages of great power that are curious and have a passion for knowledge and they are on the side of good. Vincent, Elaine, Ty and Cyrus. Second, Vincent, VinnW and their instinct have not been aroused by Richard. Third, Richard has used his knowledge and now offers his skills to help Vincent achieve his goals. Fourth, Mace would probably be aware of problems if Richard was using his knowledge to stir up problems for his neighbours. Finally, it was Vincent's idea for the surprise visit to Richard. I reserve judgement on Richard, since this is our first time meeting him. Stacy is OK and a great fit for Dave. Enough said. Kaplan is showing a lot of confidence and courage outside the courtroom. He makes me proud in his aggressive attack on Wagner. Wagner is an idiot about to be taken down for his bigotry and ignorance. The phantom Alpha is a real threat to the stability of the shifter society and humans, but I believe that Vincent's extended family will make short work of him and his minions in a showdown. Hopefully sooner than later. I am very sure that Cyrus by himself could solve the problem. @astone2292 really does a great job stirring up the readers with his writing in this chapter.
  13. Lady Elaine and Yakob's sparring was phenomenal even if the heroic intervention stopped the action. You would think that Mace after making the same communication error so many time would change his habit. I hope he can make the change before someone is killed or severely hurt. Vincent and VinW have used instinctive action without thinking so many times. This is what Yakob is trying to tell them when he warns them about telepathy. Vincent and VinW are controlling their hybrid very well. Had to laugh at the tail wagging Hybrid. Someone should take a video. Yakob was surprising also. How did he know that Vincent had been visited by one of the gods? Also, will Vincent be able to focus his power effectively in his hybrid form? The new human hating Alpha is sure to stink up the place soon. Not sure where, but I am sure several packs will be involved. Hope his reign is very short lived.
  14. Cyrus and Kaplan make a sweet and supportive pair of shifters. @drpaladin mentioned that they were like destined mates. That got me to think about how the gods made the rules on destine mates. Maybe they have altered the rules a bit to allow interspecies destine mates. It would certainly help create a more powerful bonds between the couples in Vincent's family. The result would strengthen all members in the fight against Stefan. I am also enjoying how Vincent is given suggestions and ideas of how to focus his power by his family.
  15. I very, very rarely use the anger reaction to a chapter. It doesn't reflect the author or the story, but reflects my emotions to shocking, malevolent and demonic acts of bigotry. Cyrus' strength may be the result of this despicable act of evil, but so is his pain and undeserved shame. Unfortunately, I am very sure all the readers here know of many instances of similar barbaric cruelty. I am still dealing with the anger a good two hour later. It to that long to stop shaking enough to write this response. On a lighter note, I wouldn't want to be Delta Wagner tomorrow if Cyrus decides to discipline him. Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!
  16. Better to save that for my rant on the current chapter.
  17. I actually had wondered if Wagner and the new Alpha are connected, but I am sure you would just .
  18. I like the idea of Delta Wagner being the warmup act in the sparing contests. Ty's ability to calm Vincent and reassure him of his welcome in New York was expertly written. The new Alpha at the end seems to be jockeying for Ty's position when Ty retires. How did he find out about the retirement. At the very least he will sure be blindsided by Cyrus in the near future. If he is a diehard human hater, I'm sure his days as an Alpha are numbered under Cyrus' council. Looking forward to see if Mace handles Lowe, or is manhandled by the little wolf. As ever, I had a fun time reading this chapter. Kudos to the other commenters for their fun insights.
  19. Even at the monastery Vincent is honing his skills and learning a new skill. I like the relationship that is developing between Vincent and Yakob. The discussion between Caleb and Mace demonstrates that Mace still has a problem communicating with and delegating jobs to his council. Caleb also needs to speak his mind. He asked this question, but did not state his true feelings about Mace's answer. This could lead to trouble later. I had a great laugh at Mace and Caleb as they discussed the possible commercial value of the affinities. They obviously left out a few possibilities such as a PI and electrical provider service. Cyrus' panda is really in a rush to get to know Kaplan's wolf. I am very astounded that he is willing to show and talk about the scars. I hope the next chapter is the sit down explanation we have been eagerly awaiting...with great patience I would add! Finally, Terry Shaw is a helpless pawn in all this. I honestly think Stefan has already decided to kill him and is playing a cat and mouse game. His only hope is his ability to act and say the right things to Stefan, and hope that Stefan does not secretly have the mind reading abilities of Yakob. I throughly enjoyed this chapter in all its complexity.
  20. Better check your facts Texy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadian_Americans
  21. Sounds like an even trade.
  22. I'd rather he was much further away than Canada. How about an island off the coast of Antarctica? I'm sure Gary would be much relieved not to have Cruz as a neighbour, after all Cruz is not exactly Mr. Rogers.
  23. Hi Drew, See you had the usual boxing match tonight. Ted may have been born in Canada and unknowing had duel citizenship, but he did renounce his Canadian citizenship. He's still Texan. You have my condolences.
  24. Top of the morning to you all!
