Dani is an information sponge during the day as he observes Giacomo and his mom, then learns more about the protection racket from Angelo. During lunch he is again observing Giacomo and his friends when he hears the attack. Later, he sees the damaged Da Rossi and learns even more from Enzo. Being Dani, he is becoming more worried and concerned for the safety of his village. I fear that he will face danger as he searches out more information on both Giacomo and the protection racket. Going home from the party (which was fun, especially the Twister game) he suspiciously follows Giacomo who seems to be looking at many different shops. Dani's curiosity and imagination are ramping up. He really needs to talk to someone he trusts before he gets into trouble.

Dani is still the delightful youth with seemly unlimited energy and curiosity he was in Together We Can Fly. You have set the story up for a great adventure with Dani as the hero he has always wanted to become. The village still remains in our hearts as a beautiful and safe place, but now it is threatened by insidious criminals. Everything is set up for another great story. Glad you have again visited the community and people of Ravello.

Unrequited love may be a bore for some people, but for Toto it is filled with confusion and sadness as he and his best friend, Michele, continue to explore and play on the hillside villages above the Amalfi coast. Both Toto and Michele are at turning points in their lives, but will they turn to each other or turn away? As they deal with each other, they are joined by some new characters that hold both hope and fear for both. Beautifully written prose that immerses the reader in the verdant hillside villas of the Amalfi coast of Italy. This wonderful story I highly recommend for its compelling storyline and wonderfully engaging characters. This is the fourth book in the series and it is a wonderful tale. However, it would be best read after reading the first three is this awesome series. You will love and enjoy them all.

Enzo may still need to heal from his abuse, but he has learned to care about those in the village. Dani's rescue and return to his parents was a special moment. I loved the ending where Toto and Michele are now talking about their life together and Toto has decided to go to a university. I loved this story and the others leading up to it. They are unique, but flow sweetly from one story to the next. By structuring them as a novel, two short stories and another novel, there was no disturbing feeling of being jarred from the shifts in time or character. Very masterfully crafted stories unified by setting and carefully integrated characters. Brilliant!

Hi Clo! Sawasdee Khrup! Texy seems a bit upset with us today. Unfortunately, he has gone to bed so the teasing has also stopped.

AFter spending a beautiful day together and meeting friends for dinner, Dani's disappearance is distressing. I honestly think he is alright. He probably went to... and fell asleep after an exhausting day riding around Ravello.

Poor Claudia! How could Toto let her stew like that after all she has done? Pay back is such a bit..! Toto overhearing Michele's parent assuring Michele that they still loved him and accepted him was a good way to help both boys overcome any feelings of guilt. Their day together was very special especially when Michele started to demonstrate his affection for Toto. Of course there is the small problem of guilt over Dani, but I am sure the boys will make that up to Dani soon. Toto's realisation of what his father has sacrificed for Toto is a major turning point. I think Toto understands why his father is so driven to make sure that Toto has the options in life that Salvatore feels he has missed. I better understand both Toto and his father. Beautiful and loving chapter.

In retrospect it is obvious why Michele has been having problems accepting his feelings for Toto. His parents are loving and seem to accept that Toto is gay. They don't forbid Michele from seeing Toto. They have let Michele know their expectations, and he feels a great deal of pressure to meet those expectations. Toto shows restraint in order to support Michele as he tries to determine what he needs to do. I appreciate Bella's support and help for Michele getting to accept his love for Toto. Keeping this a secret is not the answer however. I think both boys need to talk with Marta, Claudia, Bella, Anna, Angelo and Gianni to get advice on how to proceed. Also, based on his past help and advice, Father Stefano would be a great support when finally talking with Michele's parents. All may not be well in paradise, but it is improving.

Fearless Max once again tells it like it is! I would love to have a picture of your face when he said that.

Is this a hint that you are writing a new book, or referring to the last one that is set in Jevikel and Kadin's future?

This was a very interesting chapter that contained both information and mystery. The information about Earth's fate, the relationship of colonists to members of the space ship's crew and more about the economy and diversity of the planet's settlements added to my understanding of this world and its history. The dreams of Thad and Ned are great ways to add some suspense to the story. I also love the comments and questions asked by other readers. I look forward to finding the answers to these questions. I continue to love this story and can't wait for the new chapter. PS I did appreciate this statement by CincyKris. It definitely resonated with my feelings about the story.

Sorry Texy, but the video makes it sound so quick and easy even I could probably make a pizza. They are not easy. I do wish Buddy had made a thin crust pizza tho.

Not going there Clo! It's a joke from the pre-computer age. Mom knew it could read all night if she let me. So she always made sure the family's flash light was where it should be, or I would stay up all night reading. 😇

Michele finally lets Toto knows that he loves Toto. It is a touching scene. I enjoyed the build up to this moment. Now they can begin building their lives together. I did take some work on the part of their friends to help Michele and Toto. I don't think that Marta will have any problem with their love, and hopefully Michele's father will be able to also accept it. He is a loving father, and probably a bit more experienced in worldly manners considering his job and travels. I wish the young men the best of luck. They do need to work on communications and trust, however.

Dani's keen observation and advice led to a bit of a spat, but also a declaration that Bella wasn't his girlfriend. Then a panicked search for Daniele. I don't understand why Toto was anxious to get away from the picture drawn by Gianni that shows Toto and Michele as children. I guess Toto is afraid it would upset him too much. Toto meeting Bella in the garden was very interesting. Bella could not tell Toto the confidences she shared with Michele, but she did affirm that she was not Michele's girlfriend, just a confident. She also hinted that she wasn't Michele's type. She was also right when telling Toto he wore his heart on his sleeve. I like Bella.

Yes Texy. Do I need to give you my flashlight too before going to bed?

I have heard that from another friend. However, he says his eyesight was also back to 20/20 and the starring doesn't bother him anymore. Since I have had problems with starring for many years, I don't think that will be a problems for me if I can see thing more clearly than now.
