  1. ????????? Whatever, I don't want to know. I just got here and I'm not going to get involved. How are you Drew?
  2. Hi Gary, Hope the visit is a painless one. I have an appointment with my dentist on the 29th, and know it will be very uncomfortable at best.
  3. Hey Drew! Hope you are doing well, but Spike is your wild stallion, so you will have to tame him yourself. 🤠
  4. Miss you too Spike! Drew sounds like normal for Drew. Thai traditional desserts are typically Asian. They are very different from Western deserts but probably healthier since they don't have a lot of sugar. The one that I like the most are mango and sticky rice. It is very sweet and a favourite with Thais and foreigners. Breakfasts are usually good, and the mackerel fried rice must be regional because I've never seen it here. Fried rice dishes are a common side dish for all meals and come in a great variety. I do like pork or chicken fried rice for breakfast. Congee or Jok are also good for breakfast. How is the weather in Texas? Are things going well for you?
  5. Hi Page! Been missing you and the gang. I just promised Nick and Albert I'd try to check in more. I hope everything is going well with you and the family.
  6. Good Morning Everyone! I thought I'd check in with you guys after a couple of DMs from Albert and Nick. It was fun to see you guys still throwing snarky remarks at each other. I was both laughing and drooling over the recipe Page sent Albert. I also agree with Spike about sequels, Gary. I will take any story you want to write, not just sequels. I've had a slow week. Mostly cooking, but one night out with Aod to dinner and a jazz club. Thais love desserts but like to create their own, so I had to learn how to make Danish pastry this week so I could have some for breakfast with my coffee. I also tried to make burritos but only had average success. Nothing to brag about, but it was edible. Hope you are all doing well!
  7. Hi Albert! Hope you and Steve had a great time celebrating his birthday last night!
  8. Hi Spike, I hope all is OK with you. I looked at the pic of the pickles Page posted. Yuk! You and Drew must live in the smarter parts of Texas to have missed those.
  9. Hey Bucket Things are going well for me. The Beef Burgundy I started yesterday got finished today. I really like the recipe I used this time. I also made more hummus and bought some French Sourdough bread to eat with it. Other than that life has been lazy. Glad to hear you've been eating right. 😁
  10. Tell Steve Happy Birthday for me. I hope you and he have a great time celebrating!
  11. Hi Bucket! How are things settling down for you at work? I hope you haven't missed any more lunches.
  12. Hi Nick! I'm sure many men have written songs in praise of you. How are you doing?
  13. Hi Albert How are thing from the Orchid Palace? Hope you and Steve are doing well.
  14. Wow Clo! You have been busy. Some of the things you shared reminded me of my times when training to be a teacher. The kids that age are so fun to work with. Of course the college work was also familiar. It is good that you will get some time with friends to have a break so you don't burn out. Aod and I are doing fine. I have been doing more cooking. I made tahini sauce and used some to make hummus, a meat lasagne, and started on beef burgundy by marinating the beef today so I can cook it tomorrow. Aod had two of our friends over to have dinner with us. He is making a hot pot with Mala seasoning.
  15. Hi Clo! How are your studies going?
  16. The loss of this wonderful person saddens me. I discovered Comicality before coming to GA. His witty, creative, and well-written stories gave me a wealth of reading material by the time I started being active in GA. What I found here was even more impressive. The essays written by Comicality showed a person willing to share concepts, insights, and skills with others to help them become better writers/editors/betas. Comicality has left us all a great legacy.
  17. Hi Albert!
  18. Hi Bucket! Spike will get even less sleep. Congratulations on the new job! How have you been doing?
  19. Hey Spike! Sorry to hear about your problem sleeping. How is the machine supposed to help you sleep? I saw a picture of the machine and it looked more like a torture device. I do hope you find something that works for you. Missing sleep and being exhausted for long periods of time does not sound at all good. Take care my friend.
  20. Hi Page! Two great veggies! I love beets, but leeks are one of my favourite ingredients to use. Potato Leek soup is my favourite soup any time of the year.
  21. Hey Nick! Glad to here you and your merged personalities are doing well. Aod's hands weren't the only things he used to help me recover...he has other magical parts as well as being a great cook.
  22. Good night Bucket!
  23. Hi Albert! I can't remember if I commented on it, but that orchid you posted was beautiful.
  24. Hi Gary! How are you doing? Has the weather warmed enough to enjoy walking through the woods?
