Hey Page! I am sure there will be many! Song Kran is three days long, and being soaked each day tends to make Thais susceptible to catching colds. That's on top of the hangovers from drinking heavily for three evenings after they've finished playing. How are you folks doing?
I didn't get too wet, so I dried out quickly. Aod was drenched, and when I last checked out the clothes he played in, they were still soaking wet after 24 hours on the balcony in the dry heat of the day and night.
How are you doing? Is it still hot down your way?
I miss you all, but I am trying to limit my time on the computer. My physical inactivity has resulted in aches and pains in the muscles and joints. I've been doing things to get out of the house and get exercise. This pleases Aod since he likes going out for lunch and coffee, watching movies, and gossiping with friends. The exercise has helped strengthen the muscles, so I have less pain.
How are you and Steve?
We are having a good time. We went out with friends on Friday, and Saturday was intense water playing for 7 hours for Aod while I stayed home. We went to a friend's apartment in the evening for a Thai BBQ and drinks. Today is the last day of the New Year and we are staying home to get rested. I did a little water playing with others living in the condo at the street entrance to our parking lot.
How are you doing?
I doubt that I could call you out on anything about Oregon's landscape. Oregon's geography is extremely diverse. There are even some areas for Egyptian gods if you like.
It's confession time for me. I grew up in Oregon and loved to shunpike throughout the state. I've travelled all paved roads, almost all gravel roads, and some hunting trails. When I read the description of Elderwood, it reminded me of the Lost Forest in central Oregon. It is a very remote forest surrounded by golden desert sand dunes. However, the trees are much shorter than described in the story. I am enjoying the story very much and looking forward to catching up soon.
Mark is getting so much more interesting. Dave's twin, determined and somehow connected to Grey. Clara didn't seem to know about the connection, but will knowledge of that now lead her to remember something unexpected?
Hi Lee! I'm happy to see you here. I'm working with Mancunian on a rewrite of The Boot, Three Years On, and I am currently suffering from those allergies you mentioned.
Thanks, @ReaderPaul! I love to see your comments here, too. John/Christian is a pivotal character in The Boot series and one of my favourite characters because he is a catalyst for change.
I am already hooked on the story. The chapter was interesting and I enjoyed the development of the main character. Setting it in Oregon, my home state, helped. It also helps that I loved wandering throughout the state and found central Oregon especially interesting and beautiful.
Hi Everyone,
I'm not going to stay long, but I wanted to let you all know I'm still around. Take care. I need to get to bed. It's been a long night here.
It's great to see the boys are now in their new home and looking forward to making a new start and adapting to their new country and its customs.
Don't forget to recommend and review!
The original story was great, but the rewritten one is much better. As editor and beta, working with Mancunian on this rewrite was a pleasure. The plot is the same, but the story's characters have greater depth and complexity as thoughts and emotions are now revealed. The setting is more detailed and textured. The story is easier and more enjoyable to read. I highly recommend this story of intrigue and adventure.
