I don't know what Jamie will do after this adventure ends. However, if I can get Jamie to share this new power with me, I know I will be keeping very busy after the adventure.

You do like to create an unexpected twist that stirs up up, Geron. What are you up to this time? Dialogue between the gray mage and Porvus suggests that Lodda is not human and immensely more powerful that before. I was surprised that Porvus sense their presence and requested a meeting. That Urvan knew he would die and Jamie's hand, but Porvus doesn't seem to fear Jamie is also interesting. I don't like the idea of them meeting, but maybe if they are there and had a way of responding to Porvus without endangering themselves the meeting might be very interesting. One thing said was extremely frightening. It would seem that Lodda is setting up in the ring ship to destroy the world. Shades of Death Star!

Zombie Flambé and now the Armani suit is ashes. At least the suit went out in a flame of glory. Sadly I suspect the Zombie is still around. I wonder what he will wear to the next encounter. This may give the guys time to set up their trap while the zombie recovers. As for de planes boss, I continue to believe they are just that until the contrails disappear, they can change directions sharply and fast and can stop on a dime and hover. I love how the boys turned the entry tunnel into an oven in less than a second. Not many mages can do it that fast.

Actually, @Backwoods Boy and I are from the same neck of the woods. Although I love where I am now, I do envy him hiking around the Gorge and Cascades this time of year. Right now the alpine meadows are an amazing display of brilliant color with all the many wildflowers in bloom. Have fun hiking Jon! Let me know what trails you have been hiking. If nothing else, I can dream about hiking again. 😀

We both had a lazy Sunday. My main accomplishment was reading. Aod did better and made an awesome dinner for us both!

Very interesting chapter. The jet in the sky may not have been noticed for the last few years probably means it took that long for survivors to organize and get planes flying again. I am mystified that only humans have been affected by the change. The only thing that might explain that is that whatever caused the change only affected humans because of their unique DNA. Why some were not affected is also a mystery. It was suggested by one comment that radiation was involve. If that's the case, then maybe the humans not affected were somewhere where they were protected from radiation. Or maybe I'm making a tempest in a pot of tea. They made it back and I'm hoping their speculation about the zombie being recovering and not spying on them is correct. I am glad they have hidden the explosives away from their silo home. Hopefully it will be there when they get up in the morning.

They have a plan now, but who are they going to use for zombie bait? I hope they get the timing right!
