Interesting story - strong writing and excellent editing. I don't expect every story on gayauthors to be this well-crafted, but it's nice when one is. Definitely recommended.
  2. I generally avoid "holiday" stories, so was very surprised to see how much I loved this story when I finally read it. Creativity - 5 stars Characters - 5 stars Editing - 5 stars It's very rare to read a story about teenagers that both teens and adults of all ages would agree is well-written. Excellent work; I look forward to reading the rest of the series (and other works by the author). Full disclosure: I have no connection of any type with the author.
  3. This is a review of the entire series, not just the first story. The author should be proud of their first effort, and the interesting story line. The main problem with the series is that it would take a large, detailed spreadsheet for any reader to keep track of what is going on. I was totally lost - over and over again. As the author continues to write, they should try to improve on several problem areas: 1) Character names should be consistent. It's very difficult for readers to follow a story where the same person is interchangeably referred to by three to six different names. Initials are even harder to track. 2) Relationships between characters shouldn't constantly change. It's okay for one or two relationships to change over time, but not changes in relationships dozens of times. 3) Don't state that everything previously presented in dozens of chapters is wrong - here's what actually happened. And then change that all over again. 4) I don't care much about grammar, but please attempt some basic editing of your story for the sake of coherency. I'm not sure why a few others gave this series a five-star review. The creativity was good, but the execution needs a lot of work.

Strong character development, well-plotted storyline, enough "spice" for those who like that (but not so much as to bore those who don't), plenty of surprises, and excellent editing. Well worth reading.

  5. Another strong "Book of Heroes" story. As I write this, there is a chapter numbering problem that may make it appear that the book ends at Chapter 6. The chapter currently labeled as Chapter 9 is actually Chapter 7, etc. There are a total of ten chapters in the book, and all the content is in place.
