  1. Overall a great story. It could use a little bit of editing and the ending was pretty abrupt but I still recommend it.

    Cold Watch

It appears Kent's relationship with Randy is easing into another level. While Kent's love for his twin brother is strong society would never accept it so it's better that he starts considering another direction. Once again remarkable writing. I discovered when I was finished with the chapter my ankle was actually stiff. Talk about empathizing with a character. LOL @Tony S., your writing continues to be beautiful and so easy to read. Thank you again for the entertainment you provide us with your wonderful plots and smooth presentation.
  3. Hey Lee, looks Like it'll be an interesting story. I'm eager to see chapter two. I always enjoy your smooth writing and error free presentations that you combine with good plots. This one intrigues me for sure. Go chapter two!
  4. Great story with many twists and turns.
  5. This took a minute for me to realize where it was going but it ended up being a fabulous story which I highly recommend.
  6. It appears that all the Thompsons are pretty much the same. They're not upstanding citizens but at different degrees of wrong. Levi's moment of weakness is coming back to bite him in the butt. You've set up this dilemma beautifully. Now we'll find out if Levi has the courage to own up to the problem. I believe he does but it might take some time. @Mark Ponyboy Peters, you have staged tis well. Now we find Levi's character which I think will come forth in a positive way. Thanks for posting regularly and presenting us with such clean text that is easy to read and literate.

    Familiar Ground

Well, @Tony S., it looks like the peace before the storm to me. I hope I am wrong. I still dread losing any of the six. Another .well written chapter Reading your stories it's such a pleasant experience. They move along a a comfortable pace and entertain without frustrating and causing tension. Even though they're at war in Afghanistan reading them is like a day in the country. Thank you for the entertainment!
  8. @vanalas, this is the first story I've read that was written by you and I must say I'm amazed. You did an excellent job, not just with a plot line. You presented a story that was well proof read, well written, and most enjoyable. I intend to read a few more now and see how they came together as well. As I said you're an excellent writer and I thank you for the entertainment. Good going!

    Routine

I was a little concerned when Randy went off on the recovery mission without the rest of his patrol. It turned out all right that we came back with no problems. I'm always thinking that one of the 6 is going to get killed at some point I would really hate for that to happen. @Tony S., you always provide us with a smooth plot line and enjoyable reading. Thank you so much for your excellent work!

    Epilogue

@mastershakeme, I've got to say this story moved me more than many have In years. The suspense at the end with regard to the potential killing of George gave me a sleepless night until I could get back in to finish the story the next day. My emotions went from one end of the world to the other chapter after chapter. You did a fine job in developing a beautiful story with a beautiful ending. I wish I had found this a couple years ago but I guess it wasn't even there at the time. I'm just thankful I found it now. I appreciate the fact that it wasn't your typical page after page of raw sex that many stories tend to be and that it was presented with good grammar and good proof reading to make it a wonderful experience mechanically as well as subject wise. You are an excellent writer. I am going to look for a couple more of yours although I believe I have read at least two already. This one tops them all! Thank you so much for a delightful story!
  11. Well, @Mark Ponyboy Peters, looks like sexual tension is now going to be art of Levi's life. He seemed to handle it well in spite of the intense guilt that he carried for a while until talking with Father Costas Of course none of us know at this point whether Casey is going to be a typical Thompson or maybe he somehow fell off a branch that is not quite so evil. Up till now he appears to be OK. Mark, you continue to handle the story well, tinkering with the plot to keep us interested, and I believe, for most of us at least, you're supplying us with a very enjoyable story that seems to be unfolding nicely. Thank you very much!
  12. The reality of the mission has finally come to the surface. My shoulders are still aching from being hunched over climbing with Kent up the mountain side. I lived every moment with him. @Tony S., you suck the readers in to what is going on whether they want to or not. The realism of your writing is extraordinary. Nice going. I look forward to the next chapter to see where this is going. Thank you for the entertainment, Tony.
  13. We're seeing some real growth in Levi. He's excelling in his driving ability, He's got a girl who's a friend although I'm not quite sure if she's a girlfriend. He seems to be managing a neutral relationship with Casey. It's nice that he's steadily increasing his relationship with Matt and Luke also. Time will tell where this is going and of course a lot of it depends on @Mark Ponyboy Peters. You're doing a fine job with an interesting plot and good characters. Your writing skills are superb and the story itself is quite interesting. I have followed the tales of Thompsonville for quite some time now and every new story you write about it adds a little bit more depth to the town. It's beginning to feel like I know the town as well as my hometown in the USA. I almost wish Thompsonville was real and I could visit it. Thanks again Mark!

    First Patrol

I held my breath almost throughout the entire chapter. I was as edgy as I'm sure everyone in the patrol was. The way I look at it it's damn good writing when you finish the chapter with your jaw clenched and aching. @Tony S., another good one! Almost too realistic for our health. 😁 You do a fine job. Thank you.

    Orders

WOW!!! I lived every second of the deployment with Kent. The description was so real I was sweating from the heat and choking on the dust along with Kent. @Tony S., how you say so much and relate so many experiences and emotions without actually saying anything about them is amazing. You are a true artist of the written word. Thank you for this latest chapter. I eagerly look forward to see what happens on the first mission. I just hope and pray that all 6 of the friends eventually return to the USA alive. They are my friends also and I don't want to lose a single one. Thank you for the entertainment, Tony.
