Phil can take clutter, up to a point. i can take less of that. but the dust and the clumps of dog hair and dirt and leaves from doggie paws....... What i seem to be hearing is that "this" is just a part of being male?- 11 comments

i kind of thought that might happen here, your comment causes a memory to float just out of reach... we may have had a conversation about cleaning before it's just..... can't they see the clumps of dog hair and the bits of mud and other debris the dogs bring in? thanks tim. i appreciate you encouraging me to write these things down. xoxo- 11 comments

so Phil has this it's MARVELOUS Kitt! no clue why your doc says to cover it.... it takes about 45 seconds to apply it every 14 days. We usually do it the night before it's expired. He can check His sugar whenever He feels the need, no finger sticks, no muss. just pull out the little doo dad and hover over the disk. His phone doesn't support the smart phone app, but He is looking at upgrading. His control is tighter, His A1C is lower all because He knows what His sugar is at any time. As for the horses playing with it, He wears his on the back of His arm, not sure that's a spot the horse will see. He worked with the pharmacist to get it coded as a durable medical good, so it's shipped to Him from a healthcare supplier. We don't get it from the pharmacy. i could go on and on, but it's made a world of difference! -

They're good kids, young adults, young men, mostly housebroken. They really are. But today i'd sell them to the gypsies. When we got the house put back together after the floors were installed they were told that at least twice a week the floors needed to be dry mopped, swept, and at least every weekend a good wipe down. Not even a full mopping, just use the Swiffer wet. We’ll drag out the mop and bucket every other weekend. As long as it’s kept clean, and spills or whatever are wiped up right away, that should be enough. Well, i swept on Wednesday after work, before my class. So why is it that today there was push back like they were toddlers being denied yet another cookie? How is it that they can remember song lyrics, movie lines & obscure facts about video games Pokémon & Yu-Go-Oh but can’t remember that this needs to happen? And, in fact, happened last week? i don't want to do it. There are 100 other things i’d rather do. Phil would rather do other things too. But these chores need to be done to keep the house clean. And we all live here. i swear they were taught to listen. It's stuff like this that just makes me want to scream. Wonder what's going to happen next weekend? as always, thanks for reading

.... sigh .... kids just when you think you have them housebroken had an episode of that at home today, it really got under my skin we do what we can, hope they've absorbed what we've taught them, hope that they are loving, kind, contributing members of society how does the saying go "Give them roots and wings" ? as for the guy who repaired the bathroom? pictures to a manager would be the way i'd go did you have that adult beverage? it sounds like it was an earned reward. -

i'm glad to hear that rick! so glad you are doing better! your volunteer work is inspiring and i sense that you get a lot of joy from it. i'm doing really well, thanks! my class is over and i'll be moving on for further certification. i'm also going to take some classes in Word, Power Point and Excel. these are things i've not have much exposure to beyond just basic usage. -

@Wayne Gray sounds like a wonderful day full of self care! i ended the day thusly: "We'd like to especially thank Molly for her tenacity. She never let us fall behind in gathering our documents and was always there to answer questions regarding same." and on that note i'm going to take a few minutes then think about dinner -

@spyke in spite of all the people, it really was beautiful. we'll go again & explore other parts of the river @Kitt this is one of the only places in Texas for trout. there are lots of other species here. and tim could probably make shoe leather tasty 😀 back to reality today. hope everyone is doing well
