Hmm, still don’t trust Toby. He is a flawed human, just like the rest us. But I can understand still being a little weary of him.

Youre right! Sue is worse than Don. Don is a close minded bully, but he doesn’t pretend to be anything else! Sue is so much worse, she pretends to be kind and accepting but is showing as much homophobia as Don, just not as obvious about it.

Uh oh!! Robbie really should have told Nathan about Alex! Before they ran into him, but since he can’t do that he needs to tell Nathan about it ASAP! The longer he waits the more it looks like he’s hiding something. alex drama aside, I am loving Robbie and Nathan’s out in the open relationship! The way Sue treated Robbie when the extended family was there made me really sad. When he first came out I thought she would be a good support for him, but she’s not. She might say she’s okay with it but actions speak louder than words.

Good observation! Toby definitely seems more comfortable with himself and his sexuality. He unapologetically likes what he likes, whereas Liam is still working on accepting himself. And also “surprise tiger” I love that!!

Yes! A lot of people thought the worst of Toby, but it’s looking like he’s a pretty nice guy! ill have to be careful, I don’t wanna give too much away.

Liam does have a very understanding dad! He’s really lucky in that regard! Yeah, probably should have mentioned Mandy stopping by.

You’re right, he probably should have mentioned it, but hey he’s getting better at this whole communication thing in general! And look where that got him and dont worry, Toby definitely shows him he wants to date him in the next chapter.

It didn’t take my dad too long to come pick me up, I think I only sat out on the curb for about 45 minutes. Naturally, I used those 45 minutes to torture myself with thoughts of Toby and Mandy. She is a beautiful woman, if you’re in to that sort of thing. Which it seemed Toby was. They were obviously pretty close if she just comes over and barges into his apartment. I felt stupid. Hopefully! Talking things out is usually the right move! But Liam is a 17 year old boy, it’s been my experience (albeit, many years ago) that 17 year old boys aren’t the best at expressing their feelings. Of course their are exceptions to that.

Chapter 10 I woke up the next morning in Toby’s bed, I was facing the wall with Toby spooned up behind me. He was already awake, tracing circles with his fingers on my lower abdomen. so many questions! I agree, the Mandy thing needs to be resolved. Some more info about Josh (Liam's brother) will come out, but I don't know if you'll get the closure that you're hoping for. Like many suicides a lot of time the family is left without any real answers. Hopefully the next few chapters will answer some questions you have about Toby as well.

Don't worry too much, I was going through some of my own stuff at the time, and recognized that it was getting pretty dark and isn't what I wanted or where I wanted it to go, so I stopped and took a break until I got my own shit together before going back to it. Thats why there was such a big gap between chapters 8 and 9.

I love when you comment on new chapters! You always bring up so many good points! I agree, there are still some unresolved issues about Toby for Liam. We'll have to see where they end up next tomorrow.

I'm sad the story is over, but I'm glad he and jake wound up together in the end. Even if it wasn't a perfect road, the still ended up together. Good story!

Hi, Sorry, the story is still happening! I had some computer issues. I got a new computer but lost everything I had, so had to rewrite everything after chapter 8. But back on track now! Chapter 9 is posted and there definitely won't be that kind of wait for chapter 10

Chapter 9 Summer was in full swing school was over, I had graduated and kept my marks high enough to keep my place at BU for the following year. I was babysitting Carter Bennet 3-4 times a week and being paid much more than I probably should have been. I thought about getting a summer job to occupy my time the other 3-4 days a week that I wasn’t working for the Bennett's but decided against it. I had two months before starting university and I was going to enjoy them.
