Chapter 7 By Monday morning, Jason was so used to Devyn's surly attitude it didn't faze him much anymore. The kid looked tired this morning, his eyes red, like he wasn't sleeping, which made Jason wonder just what the hell he had been doing in the room all day Sunday. Yes, there is a reason he has so many 'tutors' And you're right Brad doesn't care about Devyn's education, and Jason is still so enthralled with Brad's help that he's not willing to believe Brad would be doing anything wrong... yet.

Thank you! That's one of the best complements ever. In fact in the current story I'm posting--All In--I've had to rework a chapter like five times because I couldn't seem to get their reactions/dialogue right for their characters. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. Hope you like the rest!

I'm pretty sure you meant you 'hope that Jason meets Michael' not Brad, since Brad isn't likely to help Devyn You'll find out more, eventually, as to what Brad is up to. But slowly, as you'll only get Jason and Devyn's POV. I think your opinion of Brad will change even more as the story progress... Hope you continue to enjoy! And thanks for reviewing!

Chapter 6 Jason was glad that Devyn seemed to want to hide away in his room today. The boy had glared at him again when he'd unlocked the door and invited him down to breakfast. He was grateful for Chris and Trent's easy banner to break up the baleful glare that the kid kept casting at him. Chapter 5 Devyn flopped on his stomach on his bed, careful of his sore back. The welts from the soft leather belt would be faded by tomorrow morning. We're in a townhouse neighborhood so we get lots of kids--some who come in from the neighboring rural areas. Even my mom and sister come here since their neighborhoods are so light with trick-or-treaters. I'm wearing my daughters old butterfly wings and going as a 'social butterfly. Thank you for all your comments! I'm glad you like the scene setting--I feel like describing setting is my worst so I have to really think about it. I'm glad you like Devyn's name--it's funny you mention it because all of my m/m characters have a 'y' in their name: Kayden (tears of the neko), Avery (What no ones sees--which I can't post here; too graphic), and now Devyn. I love names with 'y's in them--both my daughters have 'y's in their names too! (Mine doesn't though) And you're right about everything not being quite as it seems...
