Just finished reading Stonegate - OMG it made me cry, which I hardly ever do. It's one of the most amazing things I've ever read, it really is, and I've read a lot over the years. I wish I could write like you, the way the words really painted the pictures in my head is wonderful. It's why I read, so I can lose myself. This gets even better and better. I know people like his Mum, who don't stop watching the TV when you talk to them; my 7yr old son in fact Zach is a good guy, I really think he deserves someone better, on the other hand he's right about working at things. Await the next part with great anticipation

The combination of the two is great; there are so many people like that. They have their own special gifts, yet don't find their way into fiction and stories often enough. T

Lurker sticking her head out here I've read all of your fic, I think but this is turning out to be my favourite, not sure why, but that's ok. Jeremy just seems to be a really ordinary person, which is nice. I find in a lot of fic the characters are larger than life, which is fine, but can get a bit much at times. Terri

For A level, which I took many years ago now and think/hope is sort of the UK equivalent, I had to study poetry too. I did Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Byron and Chaucer. Then did straight texts too which included Dickens, Austen and Eliot. All are classic UK/English authors. It did instill in me a lifelong love of Shakespeare and poetry for which I will always be grateful.

Mine is Keith Urban - love him, love his music. I got to see him live last year which seeing as I'm in the UK is quite an achievement seeing such a big US star. It seems very impertinant of me to put this here - but that is exactly how I'm feeling over it. I'm generally a lurker, occasionally I post, but Green's death even got to me. Life is cruel at times -

That flashing headlight trick used to work with the older lights back in the 80's but it doesn't seem to anymore - more's the pity!

It's an interesting poerm, but very sad. I know so many people think like that, but as a mother of a young son I so wished that they didn't. I know what you mean, in a small way I see where you got the connection with TOU.

The Log Way is by far my favourite. The problem I have with this now is that it was the first story I read on this site -all the other stories have quite something to live up to now!

The could always spit roast the goat for the wedding party I don't normally read unfinished stories, becuase I get impatient which isn't fair on the author - Dom's stories are so irrisistable I had to though. This is as good as always - Nelson and Milo are such imperfect, realistic charaters, and I think are so good for each other. At the moment I'm trying to work out whether Hailey will figure Nelson out, I reckon she could, but whether she will - don't know!

I think that anyone who writes does it simply becuase they have to, mainly for themselves, but I think they also get pleasure from others enjoying what they write. Writing is as much part of them as breathing. I also think that most authors are more than happy to accept intelligent criticism. From the stories of Doms that I've read, TLW and TOU the similarities are there simply beacause he wrote them both and there is a little bit him in each character in each story - I guess - This is only my second post here so I hope it makes sense
