    Revelations

LadyDe, thanks for the comments!Brandon certainly is a "piece of work", isn't he? Even worse, isn't it a shame we all know idiots like that? Yup, Joe and Rex had a great time on Sunday, but Rex had tried to call Joe, and couldn't get him. It was a source of concern, but Joe later explained he'd been slammed at work. I think Rex is taking it all slowly. He's not wanting to "push" Joe, since the gay sex and interests are new to him. Think he IS angst-ing over it, but has somehow gotten to a point he can note it, but not let it drive him crazy. His patience is admirable--don't think I could do that! Remarkably, the spidey sense thing is something I believe we all have. You've answered the phone knowing who would call, right? Or been thinking about someone you hadn't seen or heard from in a while, and they'd suddenly come back in your life, right? See, you've got it too! Glad you're enjoying the story. More to come, and think you'll see Joe's influence on Rex as he soften's up from his colder "professional" approach to people.
  2. Mattster, you're gonna have a great time here! Lots of stories in all sorts of genres, great writing, and a friendly bunch of folks. As a newbie myself, I'm still learning the site, and the folks here, but explore to your heart's content. Get ready for some fun!
  3. “Now, you gonna tell me how you knew all this stuff was gonna happen?” Joe and I are lying in bed, both of us recovering from the first-time blow job Joe had provided me, both finishing up a smoke. Joe's question hangs in the air, and he's looking at me, waiting for a response. “Let me show you a couple of other things you might like first, then I'll see about answering your question.” With that, I stubbed out my cigarette, as did Joe. I moved in for a kiss. Shit, I love making out—and Joe ap

    Chapter 2

You've got a real knack for dialogue....witty, intense, funny, totally charming. Gonna be fun to watch where these guys go! You've done well.
  5. Hiya, Duncan! You're gonna find some great stuff here--lots of reading genres, friendly folks. Get ready for fun!
  6. A gritty story of a casual meeting that turns into more than you might expect. You'll meet Rex, a real estate agent, Joe, a new-to-town out of work welder, and watch as people and events occur that shape their lives. You'll have a first row seat to a story that reflects adult situations, adult language, sex--and personal development--as well as a fun approach to life. Part of the CSR discussion blog, live Monday 1/26/15, from 7-9 pm Central. Join in that day and ask me anything!
  7. Welcome, Gthegz! You'll find this to be a friendly place...and everyone is glad to help. There are blog postings out here that describe the process of getting published here, and places you can specifically ask for editors/beta readers. Dive on in--I did--and the water's fine!
  8. I'd settled down into a couple of weeks of work insanity. Through the miracle of self-overbooking, I'd managed to get in 2 required ongoing education classes, 3 shifts of answering phones at the real estate office to pick up clients as they'd call in or walk in for info on properties, and every other spare moment spent showing properties to those new clients, plus all the other paperwork that real estate agents HAVE to do. (Nope, it's NOT a glamorous life, but it keeps me busy, lets me make some
  9. Is this an inspiration of a shifter story from you, Scotty? Could be interesting.....
  10. Like Scotty, I like a good shifter story. But, on thinking about it, I don't know I've ever read a shifter story where the character could change into more than one alternate form. Merfolk have their charms as well.

    Chapter 1

Thanks for the kind words--and glad you're enjoying the story! There's more fun ahead!

    Chapter 1

Think Joe serves as a reminder that lots of folks have their own ways of dealing with their sexuality--some by submerging it, others by throwing the closet door open and leading the marching band out!Brandon's wife is (apparently) every bit as much of a mess as he is. (There'll probably be more info about her later.) And, if she's got those issues with him, plus her own issues, escape MAY have been the only option.

    Chapter 1

Yup, you can get the credit--or blame--for me getting this posted! Would ya like to be listed as a beta reader?

    Chapter 1

What the fuck is going on? I'm leaning against my minivan, playing tonsil hockey with a “straight” guy I'd met just 3 days ago. My hard-on rubbing against his through our jeans, my hands cupping his ass, him grinding into me as his tongue checked my teeth for cavities and his lips tried to create a vacuum seal against mine. Don't ya hate it when stories start off like this? But here's a little background—and perhaps you'll appreciate my confusion. Three weeks ago, I'd introduced myself to thi
  15. Good job in developing characters, building the storyline, and in setting up the "what-if's" that make me want to read the next chapter. You've done well!
  16. Nah, Marc, none of the time is wasted--you always learn more, either about yourself/your reactions, or him! Sounds like it's a nice combination of both items going on.....he's definately got your attention!
  17. Zombie is right--definately the start of a GA story! Casual interactions can develop in all sorts of insanely wonderful ways--just play it as it lays (no pun intended).
  18. Great music, Marc! And, you definately sound "sweepable"!
  19. As a newbie here, I'm wondering if merely changing the field names would be more descriptive. (Yeah, I've wrestled with what "Member Ranking" and "Reputation Level" really meant! I started reading the stories first well before any other involvement.) Am I too late to this party? Perhaps field name change to something like "Member Activity" to reflect posts, and "Likes Received" instead of "reputation level". I think, too, some of the rankings used should be consolidated. For example, for member ranking: 5 - Confirmed Member 25 - Active Member 75 - Vetted Member 100 - Trusted Member 500 - Opinion Maker 1000 - ? Obviously, the titles need work, but you get the idea. I'm just wishing there were a way to somehow give credit to members for the likes they provide to others, or even the stories they follow. I may follow discussions in the forums, and not comment, but simply "like" others' comments. You'd never know I'd been involved in the discussion, simply because I agreed with what someone else said more elequently. And sure there are folks that follow stories, and await updates, but don't necessarily "like" 'em, or otherwise comment.
  20. Thanks Ron, Suvitar, and Ricky.....this is gonna be fun!
  21. Hiya, folks! I'm excited to be a part of this site--great writing here, and friendly people. A little about me: I sell real estate full time, tend bar at a local gay bar a couple or three nights a week here in this rural suburban town outside New Orleans (think "Cheers"), and have recently started pursuing writing, taking baby-steps, but having submitted my first story on another site (wish I'd found this site first!). Looking forward to enjoying the great reads and great new friends from here!
  22. I love good sci-fi, and as Cia says above, there's lots of homework to do it fully! But at the same time, for me, some of the best sci-fi I've enjoyed uses the science and technology as an adjunct to the story line, not as the reason for the story. We've all read authors who were so intent on describing the functions of the control panel that the mention of the captain bleeding all over it from an assasination attempt becomes almost secondary! (And, yeah, that's an stretching it, but you get the idea.) I think perhaps the best writers are storytellers, and all the other details make the story more authentic. There's a balancing act between story (fiction) and fact--and the best writers make it look easy! But it all starts with the story. And, based on everything I've seen here, folks here (including me) are happy to let you bounce ideas off of 'em--friendly bunch here!
