  1. Thanks, Brad! Glad you're enjoying it! And, yeah, there's several plot developments hinted at in this chapter....just wait.
  2. Glad you're enjoying the story so far--there's lots more surprises ahead! And, glad you like the format of the tale. It's a complex story, so hang in there with me! Think you're gonna have fun as the story unfolds.
  3. Maxx, glad you liked the start of the story--and the overall plot line. There's plenty more to come, in terms of action as well as plot development, so hang on for the ride! Thanks for the review and input!
  4. Thanks, Headstall, for the kind words! Glad it gets off to a good start--and I appreciate the review!
  5. It was a dark and stormy night. Seriously. Gail force winds blowing with rain coming down in sheets making the freeway view like looking through glass blocks. Street lights out from a lightning strike. Wipers on the big Audi sedan not even keeping up. Fucking nasty. Jacqueline and I had done a dinner date, then a movie—we'd been inside the theater when the storm hit. We'd started doing fairly regular dinner dates like this since our youngest boy headed off to college. Jackie's still a looker

    Landfall

Start with one married, womanizing bankster. Toss in a life-changing event. Add one gay FBI agent. Season with action, self-discovery, starting fresh, and romance. You'll find why the eye of the hurricane hitting shore is so dangerous!

    Chapter 27

Nice wrap up to a moving, fun story!
  8. Congrats! Hope your birthday is everything you hope it will be!
  9. Yup, Herndon is the first gay man to come out--and, actually think there have been a couple of lesbians that were out before. Gilmon came to the party the day news of Herdon's coming out occurred. Good on all of 'em! The think I find so sad is the extent Herndon went to cover up who he was....he was married (to women) twice, and both married him knowing he was gay (according to his interview). What a terrible way to live life being that trapped! Glad he's out, glad his male partner is in his life.

    Chapter 25

Great job---very emotional chapter! Very glad things are coming together for Devyn. I want that bastard of a doctor punished in all sorts of vile ways, and like Quiet Man, hope his voice can be restored. And, hoping Jason and Lyle can build their lives together as Devyn completes that family...... Damn fine writing.
  11. Molly/Chris, thanks for the kind words! You'll see Joe and Rex again, later, in "Landfall", and their roles will expand in the story. I think you'll enjoy what both of them have become. (BTW, Landfall is currently scheduled for Tuesday. It's a different story line from the Joe and Rex story--but hope you'll like it!) Thanks again for following the story!
  12. Hey, buddy, it was your encouragement that got me to post "Joe" here!Think you're gonna like "Landfall". It's a complex story, far more than "Joe", plenty of plot twists--hoping it keeps you interested! Scheduled to drop chapter 1 next week. Thanks again for the kind words and support!

    Chapter 1

Well done writing here--the angst, frustration, and desperation come through clearly--and he's clearly desperate enough to seek treatment. Good job!
  14. Glad ya liked it, Headstall! This is my first story, so adding the epilogue was something I'd wanted to do on the story--wish several of my favorite stories had 'em!Yup, you'll see Joe and Rex in Landfall, currently scheduled here for next week....Quite the change in Rex from the no-nonsense business guy he started out being to the softie he is now, isn't there? Again, glad you enjoyed the story--thanks for reading!
  15. Typical Monday—at least the morning. Drank almost the full pot of coffee after the mostly sleepless night I had. Joe's meeting with the Child Protective Services social worker is this afternoon. Can't worry about Joe's action/reaction to her visit any more. Morning at the office went well. Threw myself into some clients I needed to follow up with—one couple had narrowed down their choice of homes between 2, and wanted to “think about it” over the weekend. Hope to get that pinned down with the

  18. Hang on...there's still a few twists ahead! Think you're really gonna enjoy the next chapter! Thanks for following this one along!
  19. The second time around, like a good sauce, sometimes IS better!Glad you're liking it still!
  20. Welcome whitewizzard! Plenty here for you to enjoy!
  21. Good for Mark! Maybe this will be the final straw, and it will give him the closure he needs to walk away from his dad after years of verbal abuse. And as for Jackie, I'm betting she's still got a few surprises left. Brother-in-law is gonna be a hero--I can feel it. Good job on this chapter!
  22. No worries about getting a birthday present for Joe. Joe got a better present from his docs—his arm cast came off early, and staples came out of his left thigh. Only a few small stitches remained. Not knowing that'd happened, I got to his place after work, gonna take him to a nice seafood place in town. Walked into his townhouse, didn't find him in the kitchen, walked into the den, and was damn near tackled by the bastard onto the sofa. “I'm hungry for your cock—it's mine tonight!” Hell, not
  23. Don't hesitate to dive in and be social, theoneagus! It's a friendly group here!

    Chapter 14

Intense chapter! And, interesting that the sheriff is now interested in all the goings on. Change of heart? Well done!
